66% of Bellucci is owned by cooperatives of Italian growers, who work with agronomists to identify when their olives are at their peak flavor for oil production. Within hours of harvest, they press their olives in cooperative mills local to their groves. Cotton Incorporated and Cotton Council International (CCI) conducted a global survey of attitudes, motivations, and behaviors regarding sustainability among 7,300 consumers in the U.S., U.K., Mexico, India, Italy, and China. Questions explored how consumers define sustainability, what actions they take to improve the environment, when and how sustainability affects their purchases, and why they are motivated to act in sustainable ways. From bagels to sushi, the internet has been abuzz with the outrageous Cheetos-infused recipes going viral and popping up at restaurants around the country.
