After 6 months touring the UK conquering its four corners and everything in between, Liverpudian indie kids, The Steeples will release their second single Loosy Lucy on 23rd June. A combination of crafted songwriting, passionate performance and shear ‘blood, sweat and beers’ have seen them already convert unsuspecting gig goers to bona fide ‘Steeple People,’ throughout the land. With a bouncy boyish playfulness, and heartfelt yearning, the Steeples ‘Loosy Lucy’ takes us to a familiar heartache of a past relationship when the grass seems greener. Their sincerity is balanced with a jovialness that results in an upbeat pop song, saving us from an unwanted adolescent angst or depressing dirge. There is a certain romantic charm to these boys as they sing of their despair that will leave Lucy’s everywhere flocking to their next gig. With ‘Album of the Month’ in Maxim and ‘Single of the week at Xfm’ they have already created quite a buzz with their pretty boy looks, cheeky northern accents and great indie pop riffs. The Steeples offer us a fresh ‘Doherty-esque’ sound that remains tight and together, and possess a certain quirkiness that few bands can convincingly convey. Earlier this year the band were invited to play Liverpool and Blackburn’s Oxjam events alongside The Bluetones, The Wedding Present, The Thrills and Rumblestrips. With the single out this June, closely followed by the much anticipated debut album, ‘Tea For Two’ in July The Steeples are sure to be a towering success. 2008 will see the band storm through the Indie scene as they embark on their first nationwide tour.

Michael Jackson Memorial Tribute (1958-2009). Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 June 25, 2009) was an American recording artist, entertainer, and businessman. The seventh child of the Jackson family, he debuted on the professional music scene at the age of 11 as a member of The Jackson 5 and began a solo career in 1971 while still a member of the group. Referred to as the "King of Pop" in subsequent years, five of his solo studio albums are among the world's best-selling records: Off the Wall (1979), Thriller (1982), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991) and HIStory (1995). In the early 1980s, he became a dominant figure in popular music and the first African-American entertainer to amass a strong crossover following on MTV. The popularity of his music videos airing on MTV, such as "Beat It", "Billie Jean" and Thrillercredited for transforming the music video into an art form and a promotional toolhelped bring the relatively new channel to fame. Videos such as "Black or White" and "Scream" made Jackson an enduring staple on MTV in the 1990s. With stage performances and music videos, Jackson popularized a number of physically complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk. His distinctive musical sound and vocal style influenced many hip hop, pop and contemporary R&B artists. One of the few artists to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, his other achievements include multiple Guinness World Recordsincluding one for "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time"13 Grammy Awards, 13 number one singles in his solo careermore than any other male artist in the Hot 100 eraand the sales of over 750 million albums worldwide. Cited as one of the world's most famous men, Jackson's highly publicized personal life, coupled with his successful career, made him a part of popular culture for almost four decades. On the morning of June 25, 2009, Jackson reportedly collapsed at a home he was renting in west Los Angeles. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a 911 call at 12:21 pm local (Pacific) time and arrived at 12:30 pm. Jackson was reportedly not breathing and CPR was quickly performed. He fell into a coma and died shortly after being rushed to UCLA Medical Center. The cause of death is reported to be cardiac arrest. Jackson was pronounced dead at about 2:26 pm local time.

Visit www.thespiritconnect.com for more New Age Videos, Articles and Discussion on Meditation, Yoga, Astrology, Accupuncture, Qi-Gong. Sound is a powerful, primitive force. For Centuries, healers have intuitively used the therepeautic powers of sound. In the native traditions of ancient cultures, examples of sound and vibration--as elemental in creation and to wholeness--abound. Many tools have been used since the beginning of time to create music, and to aid healing: planetary gongs and Tibetan bowls, didgeridoos, rattles and drums. Today, a growing number of modern practitioners are rediscovering sound as a tool for healing and realignment. More modern sound therapy tools are--tuning forks, chimes, resonator plates, sound discs, and sound tables. All play an important role in healing. Sound is that which is produced when some object is vibrating in a random or periodic repeated motion.

It\'s a dramatic moment. In an ultra-modern audio studio, a Pearl White Lexus LFA supercar faces its challenger: a lone crystal champagne flute on a pedestal alongside a sleek amplifier. The vehicle\'s keyless ignition is engaged, and its rear wheels start spinning on a dynamometer. The engine roars louder and louder, the speedometer clicks past 150, 160, 170 mph. That\'s when the glass quivers and shimmies until – kshhh! – the flute shatters in gorgeous slow motion. To view Multimedia News Release, go to http://multivu.prnewswire.com/mnr/lexus/44440/

Me at my "local" - the Wurlitzer organ at the Theatre Organ Heritage Centre in Peel Green, Manchester playing the beautiful "Autumn leaves". The Wurlitzer organ here is one of the smallest in the country with 6 ranks of pipes (Diapason, Flute, Salicional, Tibia, Vox Humana and Trumpet) and originally built for the Trocadero in Liverpool. Unfortunately I placed the microphone a bit to near to the organ grilles so the sound is a bit harsh in this video. I recommend listening to this on a modererate to loud volume setting and your speakers about 180cm away from you if possible. Being a public place of course there were other visitors in the building so I expected some background noise. My thanks must go to Pete Taylor for allowing me use of this little gem of a theatre organ and for a tour of the museum afterwards! The Lancastrian theatre organ trust must be congratulated on their work in making this organ and all the other artefacts in the museum look like they were only built yesterday.
