The top 10 videos have been chosen in Bridgestone America’s Teens Drive Smart Video Contest. Now it’s time for the public to decide who the top three finalists will be.
Voting is underway now through July 23 at www.teensdrivesmart.com. The top three vote-getters will get all-expense paid trips to New York City. Bridgestone Americas will choose the first place winner, which will receive a $25,000 scholarship and his/her video will air on the MTV Jumbotron in Times Square in New York during the month of August. Second place will receive a $15,000 scholarship and third place will win $10,000 for college.

Today, Race Imboden, 2011 graduate of The Dwight School, was officially named to the United States Olympic Team by the US Fencing Association. After the fourth World Cup event, he mathematically qualified for the Olympics in Men’s Foil based on his high team rankings. Mr. Imboden is currently #6 in the FIE (Fédération Internationale d’Escrime) World Senior Rankings, #2 in the USA Fencing Division I (Senior), and #2 in the USA Fencing Under 19 Division (Junior).
“I couldn’t be more excited and honored to be competing as a member of Team USA, especially in London because my mother’s home country is England. For nine years, I have been working toward this goal with the amazing support and sacrifice of my parents to whom I’m eternally grateful. The National September 11 Memorial & Museum (9/11 Memorial) today joined the Ad Council to launch a public service advertising (PSA) campaign asking citizens to “honor, remember and reunite” for the 10th anniversary of 9/11 by donating to or visiting the Memorial. The first PSA will air in the weeks leading up to the 10th anniversary of 9/11; the Memorial will be dedicated on that day and opens to the general public the following day, Sept. 12, 2011.
The 9/11 Memorial also today launched a new platform for the Memorial Guide, which displays the entire names arrangement of the Memorial. The Memorial Guide is now available as an app for iPhone through the Apple App Store on the smart phone. The app includes oral history content provided by StoryCorps, a partnership organization of the 9/11 Memorial.
