In celebration of the show’s anniversary, four cast members from LOVE traveled to Niagara Falls earlier this week to join Ringo Starr at the launch of his upcoming North American concert tour. The 2014 Subaru Forester is the first vehicle to ace every aspect of the challenging small overlap front crash test conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The National September 11 Memorial & Museum (9/11 Memorial) today joined the Ad Council to launch a public service advertising (PSA) campaign asking citizens to “honor, remember and reunite” for the 10th anniversary of 9/11 by donating to or visiting the Memorial. The first PSA will air in the weeks leading up to the 10th anniversary of 9/11; the Memorial will be dedicated on that day and opens to the general public the following day, Sept. 12, 2011.
The 9/11 Memorial also today launched a new platform for the Memorial Guide, which displays the entire names arrangement of the Memorial. The Memorial Guide is now available as an app for iPhone through the Apple App Store on the smart phone. The app includes oral history content provided by StoryCorps, a partnership organization of the 9/11 Memorial.

the United States, Memorial Day, which occurs each year on the last
Monday of May, represents a holiday in which we recognize the sacrifice
of our fallen military service members. In early rural America, the
custom of honoring ancestors by cleaning cemeteries and decorating
graves was usually performed in late summer and was often an occasion
for family reunions and picnics. After the Civil War, America's need
for a secular, patriotic ceremony to honor its military dead became
prominent, as ceremonies centering on the decoration of soldiers'
graves were held in towns and cities throughout the nation.
Thomas McNamara, otherwise known as Macky, has been making art for as long as he can remember, winning sculpting contests as early as junior high. At 11, his father got him a lead soldier-making kit. That’s when art was introduced and it quickly became evident that it was to be his purpose in life. At 11 he could melt the lead in a small pot, pour it into molds, and paint the little figurines. These soldiers were often given to his parent’s friends. The response was wild - the adults all loved them!! As a boy this was real validation for a child surrounded by intimidating, book-smart people. The art carried Macky into all the art classes at Cardinal Newman high school. His love for lead figure painting continued to grow during this period. It was the MTV generation, which Macky believes also had a huge impact on him . . . Since then, there have been many great moments, including showcasing Macky's art on two episodes of MTV's “PUNK'd”, which featured Ashlee Simpson and Hugh Jackman.
Mutt™ has been the label for Macky's passion since 1997. Just recently, Mutt donated a customized 3-foot skateboard to the Rush foundation, a charity created to send kids to art school. To do this, Goodyear will honor babies born in Akron-area hospitals during the NBA Finals with a “Most Valuable Ride” care package consisting of a set of Goodyear tires, an “AkronBorn” onesie and a brand-new infant car seat.
Three Akron-based medical facilities – Summa Akron City Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Akron General and Akron Children’s Hospital – will “assist” the initiative and help deliver the care packages to families of newborns. The package builds on Goodyear’s recent Safe Mobility Project with Akron Children’s Hospital.

With the help of President George H.W. Bush, Bass Pro Shops and representatives of the States of Texas and Florida, RBFF and the George H.W. Bush Vamos a Pescar™ Education Fund has announced the very first grant donations to organizations bringing conservation, education and fishing and boating experiences to Hispanic families. A total of $50,000 in grants were awarded last week during a ceremony at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station, TX.
The George H.W. Bush Vamos a Pescar™ Education Fund was founded by RBFF in 2014, with an initial $125,000 donation by Bass Pro Shops Founder and CEO Johnny Morris, in honor of President George H.W. Bush’s milestone 90th birthday. The mission of the Education Fund is to bring hands-on fishing and boating experiences, along with conservation activities, to Hispanic families across the United States. This event announces the first grants made in furtherance of this mission.
