Millions of families will head to the beach this Memorial Day weekend, many without adequate sun protection. As part of a national effort to reduce the incidence of skin cancer, Neutrogena® is kicking off the 2016 Choose Skin Health® Campaign with a video featuring Brand Ambassador Kristen Bell asking moms everywhere to get real with their kids about the importance of sunscreen—and a pledge to donate $1 for every video share to the non-profit Children’s Melanoma Prevention Foundation.* Bell’s video acknowledging the challenges moms face tackling serious topics with their children is frank and funny—but skin health is no laughing matter. The fact that only 39% of women and 14% of men use sunscreen regularly is a health issue of national importance when you consider that just one to two severe sunburns can increase lifetime risk of developing melanoma by 40 percent. The Neutrogena® Choose Skin Health® Campaign was created to change the future of skin health and reduce the risk of skin cancer through education, empowerment, and early detection. This year the brand is developing in-school sun safety programs with the potential to reach 1.6 million students annually with a sun safe behavior curriculum, sponsoring 13,000 free skin cancer screenings annually with charitable partners, and working toward a goal of donating $35 million worth of sunscreen to families in need by the end of 2016. https://youtu.be/nuKfoBBQU0k Customer-centric is a key phrase that you’ve probably seen around (yawn, I know.). Customer-centric is one of those things that sounds a lot more complex than it actually is. To simplify, customer-centricity comes down to is this: Put your customer first when doing anything business related and you’ll make more money. It’s easy for merchants to get caught up in their image and forget about the most important people in business: The customer. This is an important concept when it comes to website design.

Cuz I love my scary tunes. Why do I write scary tunes? Cuz I love howling at the moon. Why oh why do I write scary tunes? "Scary scary tunes ... Scary scary tunes." Why oh why oh me oh my, these tunes "Scary scary tunes ... Scary scary tunes." Why do I keep fantasizing demons, death and doom? Maybe you're a psychopath who need's a padded room. Alex Emanuel, a lifelong Rolling Stones fan was left feeling like a rock star when he met his heroes while touring Exhibitionism - the first exhibition on The Rolling Stones held at London’s Saatchi Gallery until 4 September. New Yorker Alex was genuinely shocked when he turned round after a tap on the arm to be met by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood, whilst enjoying the Recording Gallery within the critically acclaimed, blockbuster exhibition. As Alex exchanged handshakes and back slaps with his heroes, he said afterwards: “It’s going to sound silly but for a moment I thought I was a member of the Rolling Stones. It’s not every day you get to meet your idols.” Unlocking their vast archive, Exhibitionism is a Rolling Stones treasure trove, curated over 9 themed gallery spaces with 500 items from original stage costumes, rare instruments and lyric books, backstage and touring paraphernalia, album art, photography, stage designs, personal diaries and never before released audio and behind-the-scenes footage. What happens when Pitch Perfect actress Brittany Snow uses her charm to talk sunscreen? Shoppers end up singing a different tune than what they expected. Snow, the new face of Coppertone® CLEARLYSheer®, helps prove that trusted protection doesn’t have to come in a tiny bottle with a fancy price tag. Through hidden cameras, she delights shoppers with Coppertone® CLEARLYSheer®, the breathable and light daily sunscreen that’s perfect for everyday protection. Most people don’t expect a luxurious moisturizing sunscreen to come from Coppertone®. To help them understand it is possible, the brand masked CLEARLYSheer® as Le Clair, a non-existent new prestige sunscreen. Coppertone® then teamed up with Brittany to encourage shoppers to test the face-friendly product on their skin. While they unknowingly applied Coppertone® CLEARLYSheer®, they continually complimented its clean and lightweight formula. At the end, the product is revealed to be from Coppertone®! Is their reaction good or bad? Check out the video to see what shoppers had to say following the reveal! Are they pleasantly surprised? Did Brittany sell it in? You’ll have to watch the video to find out. To view the multimedia release go to: http://www.multivu.com/players/English/7829551-coppertone-clearlysheer-brittany-snow/

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Nine out of ten times when someone dies by suicide, they have a diagnosable mental health condition at the time of their death. However, mental health conditions are treatable, and most people who attempt suicide go on to live healthy productive lives. Join the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the largest suicide prevention organization in the United States, in celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month. By drawing attention to the importance of mental health we hope to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide. Taking care of your mental health is the smart thing to do. “Mental health is as important as physical health. It impacts the way we perceive, think, feel and behave in our daily lives,” said Dr. Christine Moutier, the chief medical officer of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. “To help us prevent suicide, there is a role for everyone, in every community. Don’t be afraid to have a caring conversation with someone if you notice troubling changes in their behavior. This conversation just might save their life.” To view the multimedia release go to: http://www.multivu.com/players/English/7824851-afsp-suicide-mental-health-awareness-month/
