In his fifth annual letter, Bill Gates, co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, highlights how setting clear goals and accurate measurement are key to improving the lives of poor people around the globe.
The letter describes remarkable progress from schools in the United States to health care in Ethiopia and makes the case that continued investments in these efforts have made a measurable difference for millions of the world’s poorest people. A core reason was the world’s commitment to setting clear goals and identifying the right measures to drive progress towards those goals.

Paddy O'Gorman visits an Irish Social Welfare Office. I think it was in my hometown of Tallaght.
This is a test animation made in After Effects.
I heard this segment on Pat Kenny's RTE radio show about people applying for Community Welfare grants in Tallaght, Dublin and besides annoying me at how these people just take, take, take I thought it would be a perfect basis to try out animating in After Effects CS5.
These characters/this style will be fine tuned for the Agent Zorlax animated short. Please comment if you have any tips, I know I messed up here and there.
A press conference was held on Wednesday, June 26, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Timothy School located at 5100 Camden Avenue in San Jose, California, to release the world’s first executive caliber, leadership training curricula for 2-9 year olds. Dr. Nelson is considered a global expert in young leader development, but this work is a first, to start so young.
