Super hero fans around the country had a chance to put their own Spidey senses to the test by creating original DIY suits inspired by Sony Pictures’ new movie, “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” in theaters today, Friday, July 7 in the U.S. After narrowing the entries down to 10 semi-finalists and then five finalists, one especially crafty entrant won a trip to the world premiere screening of “Spider-Man: Homecoming” on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. Tiffany Mink (@tiffmink) turned a red dress found at her local Goodwill store into a full-fledged, head-to-toe super hero outfit. Her video showing how she created the suit, along with the submissions from the other finalists, can be viewed at spidermandiy.com. Entrants were encouraged to put their super hero love to work alongside their senses of style, and to act as community heroes by sourcing materials for their suits from Goodwill, where the sale of donated goods creates job preparation, skills training, education assistance and support services for people who face challenges to finding employment. Tiff’s purchases equates to 40 minutes of job search training for a Goodwill participant. The Rubens; a band from NSW comprising of three Margin brothers, Zaac, Sam and Elliott, and childhood friend, Scott Baldwin. Discover how they are inspired to write music in our latest video from the Jack Daniel's 1907 Nova 969 Red Room. In 1907 Jack Daniel entrusted his famous distillery to his nephew Lem Motlow. Lem soon introduced a white-labeled lighter version of Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey. We proudly continue this tradition with Jack Daniel's 1907, a Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, matured in the cooler areas of the barrel house and bottled at 74 proof. Since the whiskey does not work its way as deeply into the barrel wood it has a lighter, slightly sweet taste profile, while retaining the exceptional smoothness you would expect from Jack Daniel's. Jack Daniel's 1907 is the lighter, sweeter, easy drinking Jack. Enjoy the lighter side of Jack. These materials are intended for those above the legal drinking age, and should not be forwarded or shared with anyone under such age.

Tektronix, a leading worldwide provider of measurement solutions, today introduced the TBS2000, a next generation basic oscilloscope featuring the longest record length and largest display in its class for faster signal evaluation and troubleshooting. This latest addition to the Tektronix portfolio puts expanded capabilities, including the ability to use a wide range of Tektronix probes, into the hands of budget-constrained design engineers and educators. “Building on the success of the TDS2000 Series, the most widely used oscilloscope in the world, the new TBS2000 gives our customers a level of design insight previously not available in this class of instrument,” said Jeff Yost, director, Basic Oscilloscopes, Tektronix. “The new instrument also sets a new standard for usability with features like a large display for easy signal visualization and a comprehensive set of automatic waveform measurements that are coupled with graphical explanations to help engineers better understand their measurements.” To view the multimedia release go to: http://www.multivu.com/players/English/7724651-tektronix-tbs2000-series-oscilloscope/

Adults have gotten the message that it’s safer for kids to ride in the back seat properly restrained, but when it comes to their own safety, there is a common misperception that buckling up is optional. Among adults who admit to not always using safety belts in the back seat, 4 out of 5 surveyed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety say short trips or traveling by taxi or ride-hailing service are times they don’t bother to use the belt. The new survey reveals that many rear-seat passengers don’t think belts are necessary because they perceive the back seat to be safer than the front. This shows a clear misunderstanding about why belts are important, no matter where a person sits in a vehicle. Before the majority of Americans got into the habit of buckling up, the back seat was the safest place to sit, and the center rear seat was the safest place of all in 1960-70s’ era vehicles. In recent decades, high levels of restraint use, the advent of belt pretensioners, load limiters and airbags, plus crashworthy vehicle designs have narrowed the safety advantages of riding in the rear seat for teens and adults.

Most of us are living in a city. Actually we do not have much time to walk around the city. Even though when we are willing to walk especially on a beautifully sunny day, we often fail to find a good place for a walk. However, the cities are changing now. “Walkable Urbanism” has been emerging as a new global standard for urban development. There was a time when wide roads and fast traffic were regarded as key elements to determine a city’s competitiveness. But today, how much the city provides safe and comfortable walking environment is becoming more important. Urban planners from many cities including Copenhagen, London, Paris and Barcelona prioritize pedestrians, and develop diverse ideas about how to make a walkable city. Seoul is also in line with these global efforts. As the capital of Korea, Seoul has developed and implemented policies to create more pedestrian roads and to make urban regeneration through this. Among others, Won-Soon Park, Mayor of Seoul, is in the lead to transform Seoul into a walkable city. From school lunches to family picnics to team practices, America’s iconic sandwich – the peanut butter and jelly - has played an important role in the lives of many Team USA athletes. It’s why Smucker’s®, a proud sponsor of Team USA, is turning America’s passion for a PB&J into a way to support our Team USA athletes. Beginning today, for every tweet using #PBJ4TeamUSA, Smucker’s will donate $1 to the United States Olympic Committee (up to $200,000). Smucker’s is teaming up with U.S. Olympic gold medalist gymnast Shawn Johnson, U.S. Olympic gold medalist swimmer Conor Dwyer, and two-time U.S. Olympic gold medalist gymnast Aly Raisman to rally America to show their Olympic support. “Every single donation makes a difference in an athlete’s training and the ability to work toward achieving our dreams, so I’m humbled and excited to partner with Smucker’s on #PBJ4TeamUSA,” said Aly Raisman. "I grew up eating PB&J, so being part of an effort to help fuel Team USA is so exciting for me!” To view the multimedia release go to: http://www.multivu.com/players/English/7815051-smuckers-pbj4teamusa-olympics/

This video shows how to make a large stencil. Your home printer, a stencil image, a huge stencil designer (I used RonyaSoft Poster Printer software (http://www.ronyasoft.com/products/proposter/)), scissors and glue is all you need. You can try to design your own stencil or use a photo or an image you like and turn it into the big stencil. I used RonyaSoft Poster Printer software because it is the best software for creating a large poster, funny sign, colourful banner or advertisement at home. And believe or not, no special poster size plotters are required to make a poster; and a standard home or office printer will suit perfectly.
