‘SO-UK: Centrepoint Sessions’ is a sublime evening of UK Soul starring much loved artists from the UK soul movement: Carl McIntosh and the Loose Ends Experience, Omar, Junior, Imaani, Terri Walker, Don-e, Natasha Watts, Maya Blu, Femi Fem, Ronnie Herel, Fitzroy Facey (Soul Survivors), Sammy Confunktion – all keeping the vibe alive till the early hours. For the second time Consumer Electronics China (CE China) is opening its doors at the Convention and Exhibition Center in Shenzhen, China. The premiere in 2016 attracted more than 11,500 visitors when over 150 exhibitors presented their latest products and innovations. With international brands Bosch, Siemens, Huawei, HTC, Midea and Gree amongst others, numbers are meant to be exceeded this year as the big crowd on opening day shows.
After the opening Ceremony, decision makers from BSH (Bosch/Siemens), VIVE, HUAWEI and Tmall shared professional insights on consumer electronics, home appliances and related industries in a newly introduced keynote program.

Researchers presenting at ASTRO 2015, the premier radiation oncology scientific event in the world, unveiled new data this week that could fundamentally change the way that early stage breast cancer is treated.
Results from a landmark prospective, randomized, multicenter phase III study conducted in Europe demonstrated that APBI brachytherapy leads to equivalent overall survival and local cancer control rates as compared to WBI after breast conserving surgery for selected patients with early stage breast cancers. These data were presented during the ASTRO official press conference and published in The Lancet, a leading high-impact global peer-reviewed medical journal.
“We have been confidently offering APBI brachytherapy to selected women for years based on numerous phase II, single site and large registry studies that have confirmed the clinical utility of site-specific radiation delivered in a condensed timeframe,” said Frank A. Vicini, M.D., radiation oncologist, 21st Century Oncology, Royal Oak, Mich. and contributing author to the 2009 and 2013 ASTRO and ABS APBI guidelines. “The results from this landmark, multicenter, prospective randomized clinical study are the first to offer the critical level one evidence necessary to drive the fundamental changes in breast conserving cancer treatment that patients and healthcare professionals have been demanding for years.”

The ImplantCenter has recently opened the brand-new operating room suited for more complex treatments. This comes alongside numerous additions such as the launch of the four cosy apartments to rest after treatments at the clinic and an implant education facility to expand their services further. These expansions are part of constant improvements that have been occurring for the last 15 years, alongside high quality service.
The area of the clinic has increased by ten-fold to approximately 1800 m2 during the years. Moreover, the oral surgery division was opened in 2015, so eight dental treatment rooms and four oral surgery rooms are now in place today. All of the surgery rooms can serve ambulatory oral surgery treatments. The ImplantCenter is unique in Hungarian private dentistry because they can implement more complex treatments in the framework of one-day oral surgery procedure. This is due to the big and fully equipped operating room opened in November 2017. As part of the service, the ImplantCenter offers one and two-bed private rooms with medical supervision to their patients after each surgery.

A new app to help the 80,000 young people who experience homelessness each year ‘check out’ of hostels and into independent living is competing for a £500,000 grant from technology giant Google after the project, proposed by youth homelessness charity Centrepoint, was named a finalist in the Google UK Impact Challenge.
