Taking center stage at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show are more than 20 vehicles that made their world debut during the Media Preview including the Kia Niro, Ram Power Wagon, Nissan Armada, Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro, Chevrolet Trax, Hyundai Santa Fe and Infiniti Q50 among others. More than a dozen concept cars are also on parade, including the Acura Precision, Buick Avista, Genesis Vision G, Kia Telluride and Nissan Murano Winter Warrior.
This year marks the 108th edition of the Chicago Auto Show. First staged in 1901, the Chicago Auto Show is the largest auto show in North America and has been held more times than any other auto exposition on the continent. The show runs from Feb. 13-21 and opens at 9 a.m. each day. There are nearly 1,000 different vehicles on display throughout the more than 1 million sq. ft. of McCormick Place.

Matt Cogar proved he’s one of the best lumberjack athletes of all time. Cogar won the 2018 STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® U.S. Pro Championship in front of thousands of raucous Wisconsin fans and became the only American athlete to ever win six straight U.S. titles. His victory also gives him the honor of representing the U.S. at the 2018 STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Individual World Championship in October in Liverpool, England.
This year STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® made history by having the American women compete on the same stage as the men. Erin LaVoie outlasted an incredibly talented field of female athletes to win the Women’s Division Championship. This was the second year of the Women’s Division.

Der Standardsprint von 0 auf 100 km/h dauert 5,2 Sekunden, die Höchstgeschwindigkeit wird bei 250 km/h elektronisch abgeregelt. Der bärenstarke 2,5-Liter-Fünfzylinder-Turbo verbraucht im Durchschnitt nur 8,8 Liter Kraftstoff pro 100 Kilometer (206 Gramm CO2 pro Kilometer. Sein Basispreis: 54.600 Euro. In jedem Detail des RS Q3 überzeugt die sportliche RS-Philosophie, die damit eine neue Klasse im SUV-Segment begründet. Mit dem 2.5 TFSI arbeitet ein mehrfach preisgekrönter Hochleistungsmotor unter der Haube des RS Q3. Der turboaufgeladene Direkteinspritzer schöpft aus 2.480 ccm Hubraum eine Höchstleistung von 228 kW 310 PS und liefert 420 Newtonmeter Drehmoment, das zwischen 1.500 und 5.200 Umdrehungen pro Minute anliegt. Der Normverbrauch ist zwar wie üblich, Theorie, doch Effizienz-Technologien wie ein serienmäßiges Start-Stop-System und eine geregelte Ölpumpe tragen dazu bei, dass man auf jeden Fall unter zehn Liter auf 100 Kilometer bleiben sollte. Effektiv -das serienmäßige Fahrdynamiksystem Audi drive select, das drei wirklich unterschiedliche Betriebsmodi bietet. Als Kraftübertragung dient eine kompakte Siebengang S tronic. Der Fahrer kann das Doppelkupplungsgetriebe in den Programmen D und S automatisiert arbeiten lassen oder die Gänge selbst wechseln - mit den Wippen am Lenkrad oder mit dem RS-spezifischen Wählhebel. Die hydraulisch betätigte und elektronisch geregelte Lamellenkupplung bildet das Herzstück des permanenten Allradantriebs quattro. Im regulären Fahrbetrieb leitet sie die Antriebsmomente zum größten Teil an die vordere Achse, bei Bedarf kann sie sie blitzschnell teilweise oder ganz nach hinten schicken.

UNCF and the Ad Council are joining Paramount Pictures to launch a series of public service advertisements (PSAs) featuring footage from the upcoming film SELMA and original music written for the film by Common and John Legend. The :30 television spot, created pro bono by Paramount Pictures, will air on television stations in donated media around the country starting this week.
The PSAs are an extension of UNCF and Ad Council’s Better Futures campaign which aims to help African American students get to and through college by demonstrating how an investment in young people is an investment in all our futures. The campaign is a focused effort to remind Americans that their investments in education can change the life of a well-deserving student, and more importantly, the lives of generations to come.
