During a biking race, two bikers get tangled and begin to fight ontop of a bridge. Just as the winner gets going again, a spectating fan gets upset, tackles and then throws the cheating bicyclist over a bridge to a cold lake below. Talk about getting your panties in a wad! It still pays to play nice at work, a new Robert Half survey confirms. Nearly half (48 percent) of workers interviewed said being courteous to others can help an employee rise through the ranks. Another 41 percent said etiquette plays at least some role in career advancement.

Coty Inc., a leading global beauty company, has announced a partnership agreement with the National Geographic Society, identifying Davidoff Cool Water as a partner for the Pristine Seas program.
The ocean covers 72% of the surface of the Earth, but only 1% is protected. National Geographic, through the Pristine Seas Expeditions, seeks to protect some of the last pristine spots of the oceans and to create marine protected areas. The partnership kicks off with an expedition to the Pitcairn Islands (UK territory) in the Pacific Ocean. Dr. Enric Sala, a marine ecologist and National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence who has dedicated his career to finding ways to mitigate human impacts on marine life, will lead the expedition.

Five teams of Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association athletes hit the water and scaled walls as part of their training in April at the U.S. Navy SEALs’ Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base in Virginia Beach, Va.
Chowan University, St. Paul’s College, Bowie State University, St. Augustine’s College and Virginia State University players all got a taste of the rigors of training with the SEALs in a 12-foot-deep, Olympic-size pool and on the Naval Special Warfare Group 2 Confidence Course, a 17-station land obstacle course.
