Spending 30 minutes on a treadmill or an elliptical machine a few times each week is not the key to a healthy lifestyle. What’s more important is getting out of your chair, or off the couch, and moving throughout the day – preferably at least once an hour. That’s the logic behind Anytime Fitness’ new “Every Step Counts” campaign – which features reserved parking spots for its members as far away as possible from the gym, in the far corners of the parking lot.
“We care what you do outside the gym every bit as much as when you’re inside one of our facilities,” said Chuck Runyon, CEO and co-founder of Anytime Fitness. “Three hours of rigorous exercise a week is great. But what you do during the other 165 hours each week will really determine whether you’re healthy or not. If you sit in a chair and stare at a computer screen for eight hours a day, without moving every hour or so, then research* shows you’re much more likely to develop a long list of preventable chronic diseases. Sitting too much is the new smoking.”

The American Hair Loss Association estimates that women make up roughly 40 percent of Americans experiencing thinning hair and the majority of women will experience some thinning by midlife – putting it right up with weight gain, dry skin and wrinkles.
It is completely natural for hair to thin over time. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, we normally shed about 100 hairs a day. So, while 85-to-95 percent of the hair on your head is growing, the other 5-to-15 percent is in a resting stage. After “resting,” this hair falls out — often while you’re brushing or shampooing it — and is replaced by new growth.

of the greatest things about my job is the people I get to meet. Before
we even launched Journey Instruments, I saw Maneli Jamal’s “Movement
III” from his Ziur album on Youtube and I was totally floored. I
immediately bought his album and then sought him out for private
lessons on Skype (And learned a bastardized version of his ”Most
Glorious Day” song from the same album. Ha!). Though I had to quit
lessons due to the demands of running two companies and having my
second child, I kept in touch and have just loved watching him perform

Bu yıl (1995) Bilimin Halkça Anlaşılması kürsüsünün ilk Oxford'lı profesörü oldu. Şimdi de bilime bakışımızı değiştirmek istiyor.
Bu çok ağır bir top. Gerçek bir gülleden daha ağır çünkü dayanıklı kurşundan yapıldı. İnsan kafasından on kat daha ağır. Şimdi sizden istediğim bu noktaya doğru gitmeniz, topu burnunuza doğru tutmanız. Topu bırakın ve aynı noktada durun.
