Today, European construction giant and international contractor VINCI Construction and French solar innovation specialist Sunpartner Technologies announced a new 50/50 joint venture and launched a new connected smart glass window dubbed “Horizon.” The two companies initially partnered in April 2016 to develop and market innovative photovoltaic solutions for construction applications.
Featuring photovoltaic panels and multiple sunlight sensors, the new Horizon opacifying and communicating window can be adapted to any project, from new construction to renovations.

The storytelling campaign includes personal experiences from team members such as building a ramp for a team member’s wife, volunteering with a local school for autistic children and supporting a special needs football team.

Last weekend, OUE hosted the official grand opening of OUE Skyspace LA. Guests flocked from near and far to be among the first to experience the public debut of California’s tallest open-air observation deck and Skyslide with a slew of celebratory events throughout the weekend.
On Friday, June 24, the ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted local and international VIPs as OUE Skyspace LA opened its doors for the very first time. New data from a school asthma management program, “Building Bridges for Asthma Care,” presented today at the American Thoracic Society 2015 International Conference, show a significant decrease in school absenteeism among children with asthma from inner-city schools who were enrolled in the program. Absences dropped 11.75 percent among children enrolled in Building Bridges, compared to an increase of 8.48 percent in children with asthma not in the program.
“Building Bridges for Asthma Care” is a school-based program designed to empower nurses in participating elementary schools to ensure that asthmatic children are identified and provided care according to the National Institute of Health’s clinical treatment guidelines. The objectives of the program are addressing the risk of health disparities and asthma-related absenteeism, as well as its related impact on academic achievement for inner city students.
