McDonald’s y Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) honraron a la primera clase de graduados universitarios beneficiarios de la Beca Nacional HACER de la organización Ronald McDonald House Charities con una serie de eventos patrocinados por McDonald’s a lo largo de tres días, culminando con una ceremonia de graduación el jueves 16 de agosto en el histórico Centro Cultural de Chicago. La ceremonia fue conducida por la periodista hispana María Antonieta Collins. El Dr. Juan Andrade, Jr., presidente del United States Hispanic Leadership Institute (USHLI) y uno de los dos únicos latinos en la historia en recibir una Medalla Presidencial, dio el discurso principal para los graduados hispanos, ante una audiencia de beneficiarios de la Beca Nacional HACER de la organización Ronald McDonald House Charities de los años 2008-2012, familiares, representantes de la comunidad y ejecutivos de McDonald’s y de RMHC.

Patrick van Steen got his warrior name Long Juan Feng aka Long Feng (Rising Dragon) in 2016 and opened his martial arts school. In june of the year 2020 master Patrick van Steen was awarded the Da Shi title which means grandmaster.

The Crane Fist Form of Ng Ying Kungfu aka Five Animal Kung Fu by grandmaster Patrick van Steen.
Five Animal Kung Fu is a traditional southern Chinese form of Martial Arts. The style was brought out to the public by grandmaster Christopher Fournier. Dutch martial artist Patrick van Steen was a personal student of Christopher Fournier and earned the warrior name Long Juan Feng aka Long Feng. Shifu Patrick van Steen opened his martial arts school in the year 2016. In June 2020 Christopher Fournier awarded master Patrick van Steen the title Da Shi.
Cuba was witness once again to the largest annual international event celebrating the Habano culture. The festival has come to an end with the celebration of the Gala Evening that paid tribute to the Cohiba brand on its 50th Anniversary, with exclusive tastings of its new releases. The gala hosted 1,200 guests that enjoyed live performances by Cuban pianist and composer, Chucho Valdes; the Spanish flamenco singer, Estrella Morente; and the Uruguayan singer-songwriter Jorge Drexler.
This year the traditional humidor auction of seven collector items reached a total of 865.000€ that will be entirely donated to the Cuban Public Health System. This edition has been especially unique thanks to the auction of the first humidor (01/50) of the exclusive special series “Cohiba 50 Aniversario”, which raised 320.000 euros. This humidor is an authentic work of art and a unique collector's item, and heralds a true innovation in terms of traditional craftsmanship and technical design and development.
During the evening, the “Maestro de Maestros” was chosen in the XV International Habanosommelier Contest. The winner was Juan Jesús Machín from Cuba. Luis Manuel García Urrea (United Arab Emirates) and Pedro Tejeda (Cuba) were runners-up in second and third place respectively.
