Cole Haan, the iconic American lifestyle brand and retailer, is excited to announce their partnership with three extraordinary stylists – Karla Welch, Simone Harouche, and Erin Walsh – to collaborate on a one-of-a-kind limited-edition collection for Fall 2018.
These three renowned stylists brought a unique and specialized purview to six iconic Cole Haan silhouettes, through which a final collection of 16 stunning designs were created. Karla Welch, applied her design aesthetic which blends modern minimalism, structured sophistication and effortless cool in the customization and design of each silhouette to create a chic capsule featuring the Vesta pump - a favorite style that transitions seamlessly from day to night. Out of thousands of high achieving Kumon Students from the United States, Canada, and Mexico, just 56 were selected to attend the second annual Kumon Student Conference in Calgary, Canada on July 18th. The invited students are studying at least three years above their grade level in math and/or reading at their respective Kumon Centers.
Attendees had the opportunity to learn from each other through a variety of enjoyable learning activities designed to foster team building, group discussion, critical thinking and creativity. In this unique learning environment, students heard from inspirational former Kumon Students who have completed the Kumon Program, some of whom are now successful professionals.

At the 2018 New York International Auto Show today, Kia Motors America (KMA) unveiled the refreshed 2019 Sedona, revealing a more refined minivan that maintains the same functional convenience with ample passenger space and cargo, albeit with more style, technology, and amenities. Wearing newly designed front and rear fascias, the Sedona now sports a similar design language utilized on some of the newer models in Kia’s lineup, while a new available rear-seat entertainment system along with other convenience features keep the Sedona’s tech roster up-to-date. Having lost his mother to the disease, singer, songwriter Gavin DeGraw knows firsthand how devastating pancreatic cancer is for patients and their families. Gavin is turning his grief into action by helping the Lustgarten Foundation raise awareness by encouraging people to get involved with the Foundation.
“My mother didn’t make it and unfortunately right now that’s a common story. But it doesn’t have to be the story permanently,” DeGraw said. “By funding research, the Lustgarten Foundation is going to change the course of this disease. I encourage everyone to get involved in some way – join a walk or make a donation.”
