The new VSA features industry-leading phase noise and dynamic range, regardless of form factor, including traditional rack-and-stack instruments. Because of its PXI platform, the VSA can deliver measurement speeds up to 20 times faster than box instruments and for less cost. Additionally, it takes advantage of multicore computing architectures and parallel programming capabilities through NI LabVIEW system design software. CBI Polymers Inc., the U.S.-based innovator of DeconGel® nuclear decontaminant, announced today the collaborative effort to remediate radiation from the campus of the Asahimachi Baptist Church and Little Lamb Kindergarten in Fukushima, Japan, in a project CBI Polymers calls “Restore Playtime.”
CBI Polymers donated its DeconGel® nuclear decontaminant and the manpower to apply the blue gel to the affected areas of the school. Once dry, the gel was peeled away, taking harmful radiation with it.

Verizon managers continue to step up to provide solid service on day five of a strike by the Communications Workers of America and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, answering customers’ calls, performing general customer service and responding to an increasing number of incidents of sabotage.
The company’s call centers answered 91 percent of incoming calls on Wednesday, and Verizon management call centers have repaired dozens of acts of sabotage to its network facilities since Aug. 6. In the face of adverse conditions, Verizon managers continue to increase their productivity while focusing on restoring customers’ service.

Honda will launch the new Civic at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
