The Ad Council is joining forces with BAM! Body and Mind and KIDZ BOP to premiere The Greatest Action Movie Ever (G.A.M.E), a kid-targeted film offering fun ways to channel the inner action hero and take steps towards a more active and nutritionally-balanced lifestyle. Starring Ryan Ochoa of the hit Disney XD series Pair of Kings, the first half of the six-minute long G.A.M.E. film will premiere on Sunday, April 14 on Disney XD as part of Disney’s Magic of Healthy Living, an initiative that inspires kids and families to lead healthier lifestyles. Audiences will then be directed to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s BAM! Body and Mind website, BAM.gov, to see the second part of the film and access additional health-related resources. The full-length film will also be featured on KIDZBOP.com and Disney.com.

It is time for a new New Testament. In February of 2012, a council of scholars and spiritual leaders, convened by religious scholar Hal Taussig, came together to discuss, debate, and reconsider which books belong in the New Testament. They talked about dozens of newly found texts, their lessons, and how they inform the previously bound books. Jointly hosted by several government departments including the National Tourism Administration of China, the General Administration of Sport of China and the Zhejiang Provincial Government, the 14th West Lake International Expo Hangzhou, China officially kicked off on October 13. Organization of the 22-day event was administered by Hangzhou’s municipal government.
The main venue for the event is located in the heart of Hangzhou, while activities are also taking place at an additional 14 smaller venues located in nearby locations including at the Hangzhou metropolitan economic zone and throughout the Yangtze River Delta. Shell and the City of Dawson Creek today celebrate the opening of the Dawson Creek Reclaimed Water Project. The facility, process and associated infrastructure, will virtually eliminate Shell’s need to draw on local fresh water sources for the operation of its Groundbirch natural gas venture in Northeast British Columbia. The multi-million dollar facility will provide a new source of revenue for the City of Dawson Creek as well as additional water for industrial and municipal uses.
The City of Dawson Creek, some 1,191 kilometres northeast of Vancouver, is the centre of British Columbia’s natural gas and oil producing fields. The new treatment facility will help meet the water needs of all users including the people and municipality of the City of Dawson Creek.

Abbott has selected 40 undergraduate and graduate students living with cystic fibrosis (CF) to each receive a $2,500 CFCareForward Scholarship for use during the 2012-2013 academic year. Recipients were chosen based on their impressive academic merits, community involvement and creativity, and will now compete for two additional scholarships for a total award of $20,000 each – in honor of the 20th anniversary of the program.
