This year Krakow will host the UNESCO World Heritage Committee session, the European Lotteries Congress and the European Congress of Transplantology Nurses. In a football pitch on June 20th, social media stars Iza and Elle from Sweden set a new world record on having the largest number of girls dancing in one Musical.ly video with a little help from their friends. On 26 – 28 October Skolkovo Technopark hosted the 5th annual Open Innovations Forum. This event was important for developing Russia’s innovative ecosystem. This Forum welcomed more than 13 500 guests from more than 100 countries, 600 speakers, hosted more than 100 sessions. More than 300 investors and venture funds, about 1 200 representatives of innovative structures, more than 2 000 corporate representatives, and 3 000 startups took part in the Forum.
This year for three days Skolkovo Technopark became a working space for open discussions, associate meetings and a search for partners and investors. The Forum’s success was the direct result of the number of meetings held and agreements achieved – above 700 negotiations were conducted on the venue, more 50 partner agreements were signed.
Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister of Russia, said: “This year, the Forum is to take place at Skolkovo Technopark, which is considered to be the largest technopark in Europe. It is a clear example of a successful start-up that helps to implement interesting projects and generate original ideas. I am sure that participants of the Open Innovations Forum felt the unique atmosphere of a joint intention to get new knowledge.”

More than four in 10 workers (42 percent) in a new survey from global staffing firm Robert Half said they’re likely to look for a new job within the next year. For respondents ages 18 to 34, the number likely to seek new employment in the next 12 months jumps to 68 percent.
Part of the retention challenge for executives is understanding why a good employee might want to leave. Inadequate salary and benefits is the top reason workers said they would quit. However, CFOs reported the number-one reason they think good employees would resign is limited growth potential.

T. Rowe Price’s 2015 Parents, Kids & Money Survey revealed that parents are letting their kids, who are 8-14 years old, learn about money the hard way, but may not be having the appropriate financial conversations to help guide their decisions. Additionally, the survey found that a growing number of parents think that it is appropriate for schools to teach financial education, and three-quarters of parents think there should be a personal finance requirement to graduate high school.
