Back for the 10th Edition is the world's premier freeride mountain bike event, Red Bull Rampage - the contest that puts the “mountain” back in mountain biking. All disciplines of riders including downhill, slopestyle and freeride mountain bike athletes converge on the demanding terrain of Virgin, Utah to compete for glory and bragging rights in one of the biggest tests of skill and guts in the world. The event will be broadcast live and on demand beginning October 16th at 12:30pm ET/9:30am PT exclusively on Red Bull TV as part of the Red Bull Signature Series, a collection of the most innovative and progressive events in action sports.
The stage is now set as the best riders from around the globe have arrived in the desert outside Zion National Park to begin practicing their runs. The only things that will separate a rider in the start gate from standing atop the podium 2,000 vertical feet below are the narrow, exposed ridgelines, 70-foot jumps over rocky canyons, and the near vertical drops. But for those who step-up to the challenge of man versus mountain, only one will be crowned king of the hill. Who will it be? Defending champion Andreu Lacondeguy from Spain? Can two-time winner Kyle Strait make it an unprecedented third? Or will regular contender for the Best Trick award, Cameron Zink, see his name listed at the top of the leader board? “One of my earliest boxing memories is sitting on the ring apron at the Repton Boxing Club watching my older brothers train. Sitting there, ringside with my Dad, I couldn't wait for it to be my turn. By the time I was old enough to start training I already knew how to hold my hands in the correct position and throw a number of combinations (my brothers had shown me how and I practiced at every opportunity!). I remember my first fight. I was 11 years old. Sitting in the dressing room, there were about 15 other young boxers getting ready too. Everyone was asking each other, who are you fighting, who are you fighting. There was this one big guy sitting in the corner wrapping his hands. Someone asked him, Hey, who are you fighting, Someone called A. Lee he said with a shrug. That's when I knew I was in for a rough night! As I stood in the corridor before my ring entrance, my stomach was in knots, to say I was nervous would've been an understatement! Walking to the ring, I looked across at my family, the whole clan had turned out to support me. I remember thinking to myself, I don't care how big this guy is I’m not losing this fight! Nach ersten Erhebungen des französischen Importeurs war das Interesse an den Sonderschauen groß. Dabei stand nicht nur die obligatorische Bratwurst oder der Erbseneintopf im Vordergrund, sondern ebenso der neue Kompakte der Löwenmarke. Interesse fand der Peugeot 308 dabei nicht nur bei den von den Kölner Marketing-Strategen definierten Hauptzielgruppen junge Ehepaare und junggebliebene Senioren, deren Kinder schon lange einen eigenen Hausstand haben, sondern auch bei Familien mit Kindern. Augenscheinlich, dass das klare Design des 308 bei der potentiellen Kundschaft ankommt. Über die weiteren Vorzüge wie effiziente Motoren und moderne Technologien sowie das innovative Innenraumkonzept wird dann wohl erst nach einer Probefahrt entschieden werden. Zur Markteinführung stehen drei Benziner und zwei Dieselmotorisierungen von 60 kW/82 PS bis 115 kW/155 PS zur Auswahl. Sie sind besonders effizient und verbrauchsarm. So kommt der 1.6 l e-HDi Diesel mit 85 kW/115 PS, STOP & START-System und rollwiderstandsoptimierten Reifen auf einen Verbrauch von kombiniert nur 3,7 Liter je 100 Kilometer. Der CO2-Ausstoß liegt bei 95 Gramm pro Kilometer. Die Preise für die Benzinversionen beginnen bei 16.450 Euro, die Diesel bei 19.550 Euro, jeweils zzgl. Überführungskosten.

On 26 – 28 October Skolkovo Technopark hosted the 5th annual Open Innovations Forum. This event was important for developing Russia’s innovative ecosystem. This Forum welcomed more than 13 500 guests from more than 100 countries, 600 speakers, hosted more than 100 sessions. More than 300 investors and venture funds, about 1 200 representatives of innovative structures, more than 2 000 corporate representatives, and 3 000 startups took part in the Forum.
This year for three days Skolkovo Technopark became a working space for open discussions, associate meetings and a search for partners and investors. The Forum’s success was the direct result of the number of meetings held and agreements achieved – above 700 negotiations were conducted on the venue, more 50 partner agreements were signed.
Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister of Russia, said: “This year, the Forum is to take place at Skolkovo Technopark, which is considered to be the largest technopark in Europe. It is a clear example of a successful start-up that helps to implement interesting projects and generate original ideas. I am sure that participants of the Open Innovations Forum felt the unique atmosphere of a joint intention to get new knowledge.”
