The Dreaming Tree Wines, a California wine brand from award-winning winemaker Sean McKenzie and musician Dave Matthews, is proud to announce it has hit $1 Million in charitable donations to environmental organizations The Wilderness Society and Living Lands & Waters in support of reforestation and conservation, a goal it set out to achieve six years ago when the brand was launched.
The Dreaming Tree began with a mission to create sustainably produced and packaged wines, as well as ensure that a portion of proceeds from every bottle purchased benefits organizations on the front lines of environmental conservation by planting trees and protecting the nation’s forests. “The more work we can do like this in towns and cities around the world, the more we can change the outcome of the future of those communities,” says The Dreaming Tree Wines co-conspirator Dave Matthews. “I really feel grateful that there are organizations like The Wilderness Society and Living Lands & Waters that can turn this into a reality.”

Der fast kantig modellierte Yeti dürfte zwar trotz neuer Front und neuem Heck nach wie vor keinen renommierten Designer-Auto-Preis erringen, wirkt jedoch auch dank der neuen Leuchtengrafik und stärker ausgeformter Radhäuser freundlich und dynamisch. Die unterhalb der Front, an den Seiten und am Heck angebrachte Kunststoffverkleidung, die das Blech vor Beschädigungen beim Ausritt ins Gelände schützt, erzeugt zudem Off Road-Look, ohne übertrieben zu wirken. Die erstmals angebotene Outdoor-Variante unterscheidet sich dabei gegenüber dem Stadt-Yeti dadurch, dass diese Teile in schwarz gehalten sind. Das sieht nicht nur urig aus.

The Mini Cooper Countryman is the only small car to earn a good rating among the latest group of 12 small cars subjected to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s small overlap front crash test.
Two electric models and a hybrid are in the mix, with varied results. The electric-powered Chevrolet Volt (with a gasoline engine “range extender”) earns an acceptable rating, while its battery-electric rival, the Nissan Leaf, earns a poor rating. The Ford C-Max Hybrid, a small four-door wagon, earns an acceptable rating. Another small four-door wagon, the gasoline-powered Mazda 5, is rated poor.

Außerdem mit dabei der neue Octavia Combi mit Sportpaket, den Citigo Motorsport der Fabia RS Motorsport sowie der erfolgreiche Rallyewagen Fabia S2000. Der Rapid SPORT zeigt das Potential des Skoda Designs und die Möglichkeiten, die im Rapid stecken. Das Fahrzeug ist in den Metallicfarben Corrida-Rot und Steel-Grau lackiert. Satt und markant steht der Sportwagen auf seinen wuchtigen 19-Zoll-Leichtmetall-Rädern. Die Fahrzeugfront besticht durch Spoiler und den kraftvoll gestalteten Lufteinlass in der Schürze. Großzügig dimensionierte Kotflügel und massive Schweller unterstreichen den Auftritt des Fahrzeugs. Weitere sportliche Akzente setzt das Heck mit dem voluminösen Stoßfänger und zwei integrierten Auspuff Endrohren. Pünktlich zur Markteinführung des neuen Octavia Combi präsentierte der tschechische Autobauer auch ein Sportpaket für den Lademeister. Zur Ausstattung gehören ein Frontgrill in glänzendem Schwarz sowie ein rot-schwarzer Frontspoiler. Die Spiegelkappen und die Dachträger sind schwarz-glänzend, der Heckdiffusor in Rot und Schwarz gehalten. Pure Dynamik zeigt auch der Citigo Motorsport: Wirkungsvoll kontrastiert die weiße Wagenfarbe mit schwarzen Längsstreifen auf der Motorhaube und dem dunkel verglasten Panoramadach. Ein spezielles ‚Sport-Kit' umfasst Front- und Dachspoiler sowie Heck-Diffusor, jeweils in der Farbe ‚Deep Black'. In der Frontansicht fällt ein dekorativer schwarzer Streifen am unteren Stoßfänger ins Auge. Ein kompaktes Kraftpaket ist der Fabia RS Motorsport - Edition UK. Die Frontscheinwerfer sind schwarz hinterlegt, die Nebelscheinwerfer schwarz eingefasst. Die Dachlinie endet mit einem schwarzen Spoiler. Getönte Scheiben betonen den sportlichen Charakter. Ein besonderer Hingucker in Reifnitz war der Rallyewagen Fabia S2000. Das Fahrzeug gehört zu den erfolgreichsten Autos des internationalen Rallyesports. Die Leistungsfähigkeit und Zuverlässigkeit des Fabia S2000 legte die Grundlage für eine Vielzahl an Skoda Rennsiegen. So zählte die Saison 2012 dank des Fabia S2000 zu den erfolgreichsten Jahren in der Motorsportgeschichte von Skoda. Auch in der laufenden Saison zeigt sich der Fabia S2000 weiter von seiner besten Seite mit Siegen in der Rallye-Europameisterschaft und der Weltmeisterschafts-Kategorie WRC-2.
SkyScreamer, the newest sensation in swing rides, has taken flight at Six Flags St.Louis! Famed pilot Erik Lindbergh and Wings of Hope pilots took the inaugural first flight. Standing at 236-feet, SkyScreamer is the tallest ride in the park and the centerpiece of Six Flags St. Louis' 40th anniversary season.
Each of the double, open air swings provides a front row seat for the 32 guests that climb to the top of the SkyScreamer during each flight. Spinning round and round, with feet dangling, guests soar in a 98-ft. circle at speeds up to 43 mph. The massive "world" globe that sits atop the bright, multicolored SkyScreamer tower can be seen from miles away. SkyScreamer is the first swing ride manufactured by Funtime to be built in the United States. Funtime is based in Austria and has been a leader in unique thrill rides since 1972.
