The German Federal Foreign Office (FFO), the Goethe-Institut, and the Federation of German Industry (BDI), announce the launch of WanderbUS, an immersive traveling exhibit bringing German culture to 48 states over five months. Launching March 5th in Washington, D.C., the WanderbUS will hit the road to visit high schools and universities in every state within the continental US. Staffed with a team of educational professionals, the tour will feature presentations, games and virtual reality tours of German landmarks including Hamburg, Nuernberg and Frankfurt. Volcanic Action host for Luxuria Music and Los Angeles native Domenic Priore has 20 years of experience in TV and film production. In college, he began his career by producing his own public access TV show, It's Happening!, a tribute to 1960's dance shows like Shindig! and Ready, Steady, Go!
Priore has worked as a writer and producer for Paramount Television, and has served as a source, fact checker, commentator, writer and/or director for several subsequent projects (including Rock 'n' Roll for PBS in 1995). Currently, he is developing a long-form documentary about Hollywood's famed Sunset Strip. Domenic is also an accomplished writer specializing in pop culture and music. He is the author of Beatsville (Outre Gallery Press), Smile: The Story of Brian Wilson's Lost Masterpiece (Sanctuary Publishing) and Riot on Sunset Strip: Rock 'n' Roll's Last Stand in Hollywood (Backbeat UK/Jawbone, June 2007).

Following a 16-month restoration, the new Tonga Village at the Polynesian Cultural Center opened Saturday, June 11, in a ceremony steeped in culture and celebration, highlighted by the presence of the Royal Family of Tonga.
His Majesty King Tupou VI, joined by his wife, Her Majesty Queen Nanasipauu, made a special trip to participate in the ceremony as a tribute to the people of Tonga and the spirit of the Tongan culture being perpetuated at the Polynesian Cultural Center.
King Tupou VI addressed the audience, praising the Polynesian Cultural Center for its dedication to showcase culture. “The Polynesian Cultural Center is a window the world can look through to understand lesser-known islands and their people,” said King Tupou VI. “The Tonga Village fosters pride in the cultural identity of our people and allows them to preserve and pass on that love to our younger generations.”
