To enter the contest, eligible entrants are invited to write a story about how he or she would spend a decade of vacations in Kissimmee. Experience Kissimmee, the tourism marketing arm of Osceola County, Florida, will then select 25 semi-finalist entrants to bring their story to life with the destination’s Memory Maker Starter Kit containing a video camera and props from area attractions. Five finalist videos will be posted on Experience Kissimmee’s Facebook Page where the public will vote for their favorite entrant to win the Grand Prize – ten Kissimmee vacations with airfare, vacation villa accommodations at Westgate Resorts, and a rental car for the winner and up to five guests.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor marks the official first day of summer by celebrating the grand opening of its newest slide complex, Big Wave Racer, in support of New Jersey’s “Stronger Than the Storm” campaign. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Jersey Shore Convention and Visitor’s Bureau to aid in the rebuilding of area businesses impacted by Superstorm Sandy.

The Coaster Capital of New England is proud to bring the latest in ride technology and innovation to Massachusetts. Tourism Australia has released a short film entitled ‘Be Changed’ via YouTube aiming to inspire young international travellers and encourage them to embark on their own journey of discovery in Australia.
‘Be Changed’ was created by Infinity Squared and features a poem that was written and voiced by Bravo Child after viewing a short film inspired by Tourism Australia’s recent ‘Best Jobs in the World’ competition.

The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) recently released its list of the World’s Top 15 Model Cities for Best Practices in Tourism. Hangzhou, China was included in the list for its innovative efforts in the protection and development of as well as continuous investment in the city’s historical and cultural resources.
In December 2016, UNWTO created an award recognizing the 15 cities worldwide considered by the organization as examples to emulate when it come to the adoption of best practices in tourism, among its 193 member countries. UNWTO plans to expand the best practices applied by the winners in other global destination cities. UNWTO selected 15 winners based on the results of a survey and a performance evaluation program conducted by a panel of judges at a special evaluation meeting held in September 2017.
