Six Flags Great Adventure, America’s largest regional theme park, today announced the addition of King Cobra, an intense and visually-stunning, racing tube slide, opening at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Summer 2012.
King Cobra promises one of the most extreme riding experiences in the industry while also delivering great spectator appeal. Complete with bold orange, black and yellow scales to resemble a massive cobra on both the interior and exterior, this slide tower will be the first of its kind anywhere in the United States. King Cobra’s unique configuration enables two tubes to race through a circular path with twists, turns and surprises through enclosed and open sections of the slide at speeds up to 32 miles per hour. The ride’s finale features a sudden, 25-foot plunge at a 50-degree angle with riders racing until the heart-pounding finish as they appear to be swallowed by the massive mouth of the cobra.

Monlau Competition, lead by former 125cc world champion Emilio Alzamora, born in 1973 covered by the school group Monlau with over 25 years of experience in the field of teaching and learning.

The American Le Mans Series reports it reduced its petroleum usage by nearly 50 percent in its most recent race.
Series president Scott Atherton delivered the message today to journalists and government officials in Washington at the National Press Club. “Ten days ago at Road America, renewable fuel use by our race cars reduced petroleum consumption by 48 percent compared to traditional all-petroleum racing fuel,” Atherton said. “According to the Department of Energy, if such a result was translated to the U.S. vehicle fleet, the nation could decrease imported oil dependency by half, saving $175 billion every year inside our economy.”

After a year of friendly feuding during the BC and Goody's Pick A Powder campaign that launched last summer, Trace Adkins and Richard Petty continue their rivalry by releasing 12 new videos on BC Powder's and Goody's Powder's Facebook pages. At the Goody\\\\\\\'s Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway in Virginia, the friendly rivalry between racing legend and Goody\\\'s spokesman Richard Petty, and country music superstar and BC Powder spokesman Trace Adkins, got serious for two very good causes. Victory Junction, chosen by Petty, and Adkins\\\\\\\' chosen charity, Wounded Warrior Project, each received a donation of $50K from the powder brand they represent. Last year, BC and Goody\\\\\\\'s launched their joint Pick A Powder Campaign (www.pickapowder.com) to see which powder is the fastest at getting rid of pain. While the rivalry led by their respective spokesmen remains neck and neck, today\\\\\\\'s truce resulted in a total donation of $100,000.
