Uber-cool Swiss watch brand TAG Heuer will mark the start of the world’s first electric car race season on 31st August with a king-sized VIP party in Beijing, home of the new championship’s electrifying season opener.
The event officially inaugurates the pioneering Swiss brand’s latest adventure in motor-racing, which starts 13 September in Beijing, and closes 27 June, 2015 in London. TAG Heuer is the Official Watch, Partner and Timekeeper of the FIA Formula E Championship for all ten events, a role it has played several times over the decades, for major motor-racing series and circuit around the world, from Formula One in the 1970s to Indy 500 in 20XX and the Monaco Grand Prix today.

In honor of its 50-year legacy at the center of the Las Vegas Strip, the iconic Caesars Palace celebrated its golden anniversary with an opulent birthday pool party, featuring a five-tier cake, champagne toast and a 10 minute fireworks extravaganza hosted by award-winning chef Gordon Ramsay. The anniversary festivities continued on Saturday, Aug. 6 with a once in a lifetime gala headlined by world-renowned entertainers Tony Bennett, Jennifer Lopez, Howie Mandel, Wayne Newton, Donny & Marie Osmond, Matt Goss and The Righteous Brothers. Special Icon Awards were also presented to honorees that have helped shape Caesars Palace’s rich history, including Calvin Harris, Gordon Ramsay, Celine Dion, Elton John, Jerry Seinfeld and more.

Jaguar announced the three renowned actors to appear in “Rendezvous,” its 60-second television advertisement to debut during the second half of Super Bowl XLVIII, and revealed details of its largest-ever brand and product marketing campaign, called “British Badboys” which introduces the Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe (on sale spring, 2014). “Rendezvous” stars Sir Ben Kingsley, Tom Hiddleston and Mark Strong, and was filmed by Oscar-winning British director, Tom Hooper, in London. It is Jaguar’s first Super Bowl TV advertisement.

Marvel's best-known characters appealing to all ages, including Thor, Black Widow, Captain America, Iron Man, Loki, Hawkeye and Odin, feature as flight safety rules are explained in an entertaining and fun way. The overriding message of the safety demo video is: 'Even if you're a superhero, flight safety rules are important for you'.

Service members and their families stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, one of the largest training bases for the U.S. Army, received a special visit on May 3 from The First Lady, Dr. Biden and Astronaut Mark Kelly. They were joined by lifelong literacy advocate LeVar Burton, the host of Reading Rainbow®, for a story time event for students on-base at Thayer Elementary School. The event was part of the White House’s Joining Forces initiative. Celebrating its 5th anniversary, the initiative works to ensure that service members, veterans, and their families have the tools they need to succeed throughout their lives.
Burton, whose father was in the army and mother an English teacher said of the event, “I was truly honored to be asked to join the First Lady, Dr. Biden and Captain Kelly for the book reading to children of military families. I know from personal experience the sacrifices they and their families make every day on behalf of our nation.” Burton also added that the event was especially important as it focused on reading. “Literacy is the gateway to children reaching their full potential as human beings.”
