The biggest international event of the world’s best tobacco, the Habano, will be held from 18 to 22 February. Enthusiasts of this unique product from all corners of the world will participate in a Festival that will see the San Cristóbal de La Habana, Hoyo de Monterrey and Trinidad brands taking centre stage.
Attendees from more than 60 countries are expected will enjoy a comprehensive programme full of activities designed to explore some aspects of the Habanos culture: tours of plantations in Vuelta Abajo*, in the Pinar del Río* region, as well as visits to the factories responsible for producing this year’s biggest launches. At the inaugural Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup held yesterday at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass., Lexie Priessman of Cincinnati, Ohio, won the all-around title with Kassandra Lopez of Tucson, Ariz., and Diandra Milliner of Andover, Kansas, finishing in second and third, respectively. Competing were 36 gymnasts who traveled from 17 states across the country to participate. Proceeds from the event benefit the Nastia Liukin Fund, a charitable fund within the National Gymnastics Foundation.

The annual East-West debates of the Eurasian Media Forum (EAMF) closed here with an announcement that the next meeting will take place within the context of Kazakhstan’s world exhibition, Astana EXPO-2017, on June 22-23 next year.
The Forum will be held at one of the platforms of the exhibition in the capital of Kazakhstan, The Chairperson of the Forum’s Organizing Committee, Dariga Nazarbayeva, announced at the end of the Forum.
This year’s Forum, the 13th in a series, brought together more than 550 delegates for three days, from April 20-22, in the heart of Central Asia to discuss the most pressing current issues.
Summing up at the final session, Dr Nazarbayeva said all the harsh developments taking place in the world today were caused not by a conflict of civilizations, but by the process of adaptation of different civilizations, getting used to each other.
