Last weekend, OUE hosted the official grand opening of OUE Skyspace LA. Guests flocked from near and far to be among the first to experience the public debut of California’s tallest open-air observation deck and Skyslide with a slew of celebratory events throughout the weekend.
On Friday, June 24, the ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted local and international VIPs as OUE Skyspace LA opened its doors for the very first time. The 6th forum has become a record-breaking one by every measure by gathering 18,200 participants from 98 countries. During three thematic day-long sessions on business, government and society, presentations of more than 650 speakers took place.
Within the framework of the forum business program and in the press center 42 agreements were signed, including 24 partnership agreements with the Skolkovo Foundation. With the U.S. Open Snowboarding finals this weekend, Olympic snowboarding champion Hannah Teter teams up with other professional athletes to fight child poverty through Children International, a U.S.-based humanitarian organization.
The two-time medalist was joined by Burton Team Snowboarder Gabi Viteri and Nike 6.0 surfer Monyca Byrne-Wickey recently to visit Children International’s agency in Guadalajara, Mexico, to learn more about the needs of impoverished children there and how Children International’s sponsorship program meets the needs of those children.

Billie Jean King is joining the Arthritis Foundation, the Ad Council and the United States Tennis Association (USTA) to launch a new public service campaign to fight arthritis—the leading cause of disability in America. The ads, which debut at the US Open today, highlight the power of movement and activities, such as tennis, walking, biking and swimming, as weapons in the fight against osteoarthritis (OA).
