Big data, cloud and artificial intelligence - the digitalization trend is at the heart of all the exhibits and events at this year's CeBIT in Hannover, Germany. Featuring around 3,300 exhibitors from over 70 countries, CeBIT is the world's biggest trade show for the digitalization of business and society. And this year, it is back with a major lineup of highlights and innovations.
The official opening of CeBIT 2016 was attended by many VIPs. Among them were German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel and EU Digital Economy Commissioner Günther Oettinger. Proof that CeBIT is a key platform for high-level political dialogue.

Düsseldorf is becoming the centre of the world for water sports fans: This year the boot will be attracting about 250.000 visitors to the exhibition halls by the Rhine river again. The luxury yachts especially are a sensation for young and old. The "Explorer" by Drettmann and the "Princess 30M" are two of the largest vessels at the boot.
Messe Frankfurt is continuing to expand its presence in Russia with the acquisition of a 50 percent stake in Comtrans and Autotrans by its Russian subsidiary Messe Frankfurt RUS. The remaining 50 percent will be assumed by ITE Expo OOO, the Russian subsidiary of the ITE Group. The new Joint Venture organizing company is ITEMF Expo AO.
Comtrans – which has had the status of International Commercial Vehicle Auto Show since 2011 – will present the latest models of modern motor trucks, buses, trailers and their parts from September 8-12 at Crocus Expo in Moscow.

Am Vorabend der Auto Shanghai 2013 hat der Volkswagen-Konzern bei seiner traditionellen Group Night nicht nur die automobilen Highlights seines Markenspektrums gezeigt, sondern auch seine Verbundenheit zum Standort China unterstrichen. Ist es doch genau 30 Jahre her, als im April 1983 der erste in China gefertigte Santana vom Band rollte. Eingerahmt von zahlreichen künstlerischen Darbietungen, die begeistert beklatscht wurden, wurden aber auch die auf der Messe zu besichtigenden neuen Modelle gewürdigt. Angefangen von den beiden Weltpremieren des VW CrossBlue Coupé, mit dem die Wolfsburger einen Ausblick in die SUV-Zukunft geben, und der Audi A3 Limousine führte die Autoparade über den XL 1, den Bentley Flying Spur, den Skoda Superb, den Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, der Seat Leon SC und den Porsche RS bis hin zum Lamborghini Aventador LP Anniversario. Und auch der Motorradbereich fehlte natürlich mit einer Ducati Chavel ebenso nicht wie Lkw von MAN und Scania, die aus Platzgründen allerdings vor der Halle geparkt werden mussten.
