McDonald’s USA today announced the 2012 McDonald’s Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour, a free summer concert series that featured multi-award winning gospel artist Fred Hammond, raised more than $46,000 this year to support local Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Chapters and the Charity’s important mission of helping improve the health and well being of children and families.
Currently in its sixth year, McDonald’s pioneered the annual gospel tour as a way to bring positive, uplifting messages and entertainment to communities nationwide and emphasize the importance of giving back. With Hammond as the 2012 headliner, the free, nine-city tour also featured contemporary and urban gospel artists Byron Cage, 21:03, Canton Jones, J Moss, Myron Butler and VaShawn Mitchell, in select cities.

The 6th annual Variety Power of Youth event, which took place Saturday, Sept. 15 in Los Angeles, Calif. was the perfect platform for Allstate’s XtheTXT campaign to encourage young drivers not to text and drive. During the event, Hollywood’s rising stars and others pledged not to text and drive by inking their thumbprints on a Ford Focus car wrapped with XtheTXT messaging and imagery.
In addition to many other young celebrities, including Joe, Kevin and Nick Jonas, Jordin Sparks, Christian Serratos, Diego Boneta and R.J. Mitte, Vampire Diaries' star Kat Graham took the pledge not to text and drive.

The second annual iHeartRadio Music Festival closed a triumphant weekend, September 21 and 22, after more than 10 hours of back-to-back diverse performances by some of the biggest names in the music industry as well as a number of unprecedented collaborations by superstars across musical genres. Der Evalia erreichte nur bei der Wertung „Schutz von Kindern“ mit 81 Prozent ein gutes Ergebnis, während beim Schutz erwachsener Insassen und Fußgängerschutz lediglich 68 bzw. 67 Prozent erreicht wurden. Ganz schwach fiel mit 55 Prozent das Ergebnis bei den unterstützenden Sicherheitssystemen aus. Der Dacia-Sandero erreichte aber auch nur vier Sterne wobei er beim Kinder- (79%) als auch beim Erwachsenen-Schutz (80%) gute Werte bekam. Große Schwächen wurden jedoch beim Fußgängerschutz (57%) und den Sicherheitssystemen (55%) festgestellt.
