DHX Media’s W!LDBRAIN Entertainment, together with outreach partners Children’s Museum of Manhattan (CMOM), WTTW Chicago Public Media and research firm Michael Cohen Group, have introduced UMIGO, the first of its kind transmedia math property, to 10 markets across the U.S. through children’s museums and public television stations. They were joined on October 4 by Parliament funkadelic legend Bootsy Collins and the UMIGO characters at the UMIGO outreach kick-off event held at CMOM. At the event, New York public school children and home schooled children participated in transmedia UMIGO workshops led by DHX Media’s W!LDBRAIN Entertainment, producers of UMIGO, and CMOM. Collins lends his voice to original UMIGO music and appears as an animated character in the music video “Rocket Box.” Together, CMOM and WTTW will continue to expand the program into additional markets over the next three years.

A wonderful musician and friend of mine has recently departed from our world and is now starting his new life under God's great care and guidance. Nikos will do very well in Heaven and will even delight the angels with his goodwill and music. "I am reaching out to you now from this world Nikos to present you with my gift of this song for you. While browsing in a rare book store in Arkham, Sean finds an occult book with an ad seeking an apprentice sorcerer, from a newspaper dated March 21, 1895. Even more intriguing, the ad specifically requests applicants reply by email.

Farmers Insurance is ringing in the New Year by honoring those who make us smarter with the “Thank A Million Teachers” float at the Tournament of Roses Parade. In Farmers’ 55th entry to the renowned event, the float will celebrate the “Thank A Million Teachers” initiative, which invites America to make 2014 the year to thank a million teachers. Riding the float will be honored educators from Montana and Nevada, alongside local Los Angeles students. Through the “Thank A Million Teachers” platform, Farmers has committed up to $1,000,000 in funds to classrooms and education programs. The celebration at the 2014 Rose Parade follows a recent kick-off event where actor Jack Black offered the first “thank you” to his former teacher and mentor, Debbie Devine.
