At a ceremony today at the U.S. National Archives in Washington, D.C., Monuments Men Foundation Founder and Chairman Robert Edsel donated “Hitler Album No. 6” to the Archive, reuniting it with 39 other “Hitler Albums” recovered at the end of World War II. Chief Archivist of the United States, David Ferriero, accepted the album from the foundation and Monuments Man Harry Ettlinger. Ettlinger represents the historic group honored most recently in Sony Pictures’ THE MONUMENTS MEN, which is based on Mr. Edsel’s No.1 New York Times’ bestselling book of the same name.

Food Lion today pledged to donate 500 million meals to families in need by the end of 2020 through its new community relations platform, Food Lion Feeds, which will focus on hunger relief. To mark the launch of Food Lion Feeds and kick off its new commitment, the grocer will donate 1 million meals in five days between June 9 and June 13 as part of a Week of Giving.

Dozens of actors, musicians, sports personalities and other distinguished guests donated their time on September 11th to honor the memories of those who lost their lives on 9/11 by raising more than $12 million for charities around the world. This special event, called Charity Day, is hosted each year by BGC Partners, Inc. The Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund (“Relief Fund”) today announced that it worked with Houston-area school officials to donate prepaid $1,000 American Express® cash cards to the 5,000 families most severely affected by Hurricane Harvey, distributing total of approximately $5 million.
The donation is made possible by the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund as well as by a grant from the firms and partners of Cantor Fitzgerald, Newmark Knight Frank and BGC Partners. With a combined presence of more than 500 employees throughout Texas, the combined companies have 180 employees who volunteered to effectively distribute direct financial aid to deserving families at Houston’s George R. Brown Convention Center on Sunday, February 11 and Monday, February 12.
To make this event a reality, the Relief Fund worked with the office of Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, along with officials and administrators from 15 Houston-area school districts, covering 200 schools, whose efforts were critical to identifying the 5,000 of the most affected families. In addition to Mayor Turner, Sheila Jackson Lee, U.S. Representative for Texas's 18th congressional district, participated in the event, along with many other local officials and notables.

ATLANTA — January 29, 2019 — The Krystal Foundation announces $101,112.78 in enrichment funding for 31 schools and school-affiliated organizations. These grant recipients were chosen from 229 applications received during the Foundation’s first two grant windows for the 2018-2019 academic year. The next grant window opens on February 1 and extends to March 1 when recipients will be selected for an additional $50,000 for impactful programming in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM) as well as music, sports and culinary arts.

Having lost his mother to the disease, singer, songwriter Gavin DeGraw knows firsthand how devastating pancreatic cancer is for patients and their families.
