Jetzt, wo auch die Blumen ihre Knospen aus der Erde recken, ist die richtige Zeit, sein Auto checken zu lassen. On April 12th, 2026, He Yong Gan Martial Arts – Shaolin Kung Fu Apeldoorn proudly participated in an international Shou Bo (手搏) competition in Leuven, Belgium.
Representing our school was Wesley Broekhuis, who demonstrated determination, technique, and fighting spirit in this exciting Chinese combat sport.
Shou Bo is a modern Chinese martial art that combines throws, takedowns, grappling, balance breaking, and practical self-defense skills. It shares many principles with Shuai Jiao (摔跤), China's traditional wrestling art.
This event brought together martial artists from various countries and provided an excellent opportunity to gain experience, test skills, and promote Chinese martial arts on an international stage.
At He Yong Gan Martial Arts, we believe martial arts are about more than competition. Training develops confidence, discipline, respect, perseverance, and self-defense skills that can benefit practitioners throughout their lives.

Me at the organ at Short Heath Methodist Church in Willenhall, West Midlands. The organ is a 2 manual (keyboard) instrument that was originally built by Nicholson & Lord of Walsall for Walsall Street Methodist Church, Willenhall. It was removed from there when that church closed in 1964 and reinstalled here. Im playing the wartime ballad "That lovely weekend" as originally sung by one of my favourite all time singers - Dame Vera Lynn!
Sears and Kmart are spreading the holiday spirit early by changing the lives of one very special family and two well deserving charities as they announce the grand prize winner of the Shop Your Way Rewards “What Would You Do With One Billion Points?” contest. Todd Benjamin, resident of Lakewood, Colo., was named the winner for the national Sears and Kmart contest and received half of the prize value and the other half will be donated to the Rocky Mountain Rett Association (RMRA) and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Shock Top and Stan Herd, the world's preeminent representational Earthwork artist, are collaborating on a series of original Earthworks a first for the artist and the beer brand. The US federal government, which touts its historic 54.5 miles-per-gallon fuel-efficient standard for 2025 model year autos, might want to rethink that mark. It’s downright puny compared to what a team of students from Quebec’s Université Laval achieved today as its vehicle traveled a mind-boggling 3,587 miles on a single gallon of gasoline at the 7th annual Shell Eco-marathon Americas 2013 competition. It was the highest mileage ever achieved for both Université Laval and the Americas challenge.

Shell today celebrated the official opening of the Quest carbon capture and storage (CCS) project in Alberta, Canada, and the start of commercial operations there. Quest is designed to capture and safely store more than one million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) each year – equal to the emissions from about 250,000 cars.
