Here East, London’s home for making based at the former Press and Broadcast Centres on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, today launches a short promotional film to demonstrate its vision and reveal the spirit of invention and discovery that lies at the heart of Here East’s offer to the tech, creative and making communities.
Forty crew members, a six tonne, thirty foot technocrane, a 4K drone and one hand-crafted robot were commissioned specifically by Here East to launch its marketing strategy and to create the unique footage of this ground-breaking London 2012 legacy project. The film aims to capture the attention of those entrepreneurial, creative businesses looking to scale, as well as established companies seeking to become more entrepreneurial.

World Design Capital (WDC) Helsinki 2012 is one of the world’s largest ever expeditions into design. With it’s year-long program that consists of 300 events, projects, and initiatives Helsinki will examine the ways in which design is embedded in everyday life. The top 10 videos have been chosen in Bridgestone America’s Teens Drive Smart Video Contest. Now it’s time for the public to decide who the top three finalists will be.
Voting is underway now through July 23 at www.teensdrivesmart.com. The top three vote-getters will get all-expense paid trips to New York City. Bridgestone Americas will choose the first place winner, which will receive a $25,000 scholarship and his/her video will air on the MTV Jumbotron in Times Square in New York during the month of August. Second place will receive a $15,000 scholarship and third place will win $10,000 for college.

HBO Latino, Home Box Office’s dedicated Spanish-language premium channel, will present a sensational slate of first-run entertainment through Fall 2012, certain to appeal to the today’s multigenerational and bilingual Hispanic households.
Making their U.S. television premieres exclusively on the service this fall are the first season of the HBO Latin America series Prófugos and sixteen Spanish-language films under the banner Estrenos Latinos. The HBO documentary film The Latino List: Volume Two, a follow-up to last year’s The Latino List, will also make its debut on the channel.
