In 3,9 Sekunden ist Tempo 100 erreicht, seine Höchstgeschwindigkeit liegt bei über 300 km/h. Möglich macht das ein Bi-Turbo V6 mit 503 PS. Auch VW Nutzfahrzeuge hat ein entsprechendes Showcar für das GTI-Treffen auf 22 Zoll-Räder gestellt. Die Basis bildet der Amarok. Passend zum bulligen Outfit arbeitet unter der Haube ein V6 TDI mit 3-Liter Hubraum und erzeugt satte 200 kW (272 PS). Der Hingucker bei den Fans war natürlich der Polo R mit dem VW erfolgreich in der Rallye-Weltmeisterschaft unterwegs ist. Für die meisten Besucher wohl die einzige Chance dem erfolgreichen Rallyeauto einmal zum Greifen nah zu sein. Die VW-Azubis haben wie in jedem Jahr auch ihre automobilen Träume Wirklichkeit werden lassen. Grapevine, Texas has some new characters in town. The interesting thing is, you have to look upwards 75 feet toward Grapevine’s Glockenspiel Clock Tower to see them.
Grapevine recently dedicated its 127-foot-high Clock Tower featuring two larger-than-life, 9-foot tall Glockenspiel characters, known as the Would-Be Train Robbers, Nat Barrett and Willy Majors. Located 75 feet in the air within the Clock Tower, these figures emerge each day shortly before the stroke of noon and 6 p.m. to attempt the perfect heist. Just as Glockenspiels in Europe are rooted in history, Grapevine’s Clock Tower figures reflect the Western lore that many visitors from outside Texas find interesting and entertaining. The debut was featured as part of the dedication of the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau’s Headquarters and Museum Complex during the City’s 28th Annual Main Street Days festival.

Graham has a rare tissue type and a match was not found.
Thanks to generous donations of over $400,000, Graham was able to travel from his home in Melbourne, Australia to Seattle in the USA for a revolutionary, life-saving stem cell treatment in April 2008.
On Wed 6th August, he was the 8th person in the world to receive a Stem Cell Transplant using stem cells grown in the lab from an umbilical cord.
The treatment was a complete success and he is now leukaemia free.
He is back in Melbourne, recovering from the treatment but still has outstanding medical bills of $416,000.

Leading automaker GAC Motor has released its best-selling GS4 in Bahrain at the grand new car launching ceremony from December 9 to 10 at Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre. The company exhibited eight GS4, eight GA6, two GS8 and one GA8 at the two-day launch event, which attracted more than 20,000 people attending.
