It’s the summer of 1973, and eight year-old Bobby Burke’s father has been MIA in Vietnam for three years. He’s been keeping his father alive through the magic of his SafeKeeper, a charm bracelet he wears on his wrist, but it seems lately that the SafeKeeper’s power has been fading. The military has given up hope of finding his father alive, and even Bobby’s mom has taken up with a new guy, Nick, who seems determined to become a new father to him. What’s worse, Bobby has to contend with a pair of fearsome Tolltakers who have entered his life: one, a local schoolyard bully who demands money to let Bobby get home from school in one piece; the other a demon who visits Bobby’s dreams to try to snatch the SafeKeeper from his wrist. These Mutts are aligned to a single Sampradaya and propagate their philosophies through discourses, worship, song & dances, festivals, etc. The principle dirty of each Sampradaya may be either Shiva, Vishnu, Ganapathi, Dattatreya, Devi, Surya, Skanda, etc (depending on the Darshana they belong to)
The Kumbha (Kumbh) Mela has representation from every school of Dharma and Sampradaya, it is the great school for the spiritually inclined to experience all the Indian philosophical schools at one place at the same time
There are several Shastrartas, Tarka, Upanyasa, Ughabhoga, Parayana, Pravachanas which are organized specially during the Kumbha (Kumbh) Mela. These are various types of debates, lectures, talks and seminars pertaining to various philosophies which churn out several new interpretations to the ancient texts and treatises, sometimes they introduce new dimensions to their respective schools, sometimes deleting, sometimes adding to the pool of spiritual knowledge

As most high school and college students are busy tackling tests or taking it easy during spring break, student teams from across the Americas are preparing for the ultimate extracurricular activity – designing, building, and testing a vehicle that travels the farthest distance using the least amount of energy. After months of coordinating designs and constructing vehicles, 43 student teams – among 9 high schools and 29 universities – are putting the finishing touches on their vehicles for the 2010 Shell Eco-marathon Americas energy challenge. These leaders of tomorrow, and their fuel-efficient creations, will soon take to the streets of downtown Houston, March 26-28 around Discovery Green Park. We’ll find out if these students can beat the 2,757.1 miles per gallon (1,172.2 kilometers per liter) achieved in 2009 by Laval University, but more than that, the students will grant us a glimpse into the fuels, technologies and transportation of tomorrow.
