The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) today revealed new programs and major improvements that will make the entire show experience more convenient, and more productive for both media and auto manufacturers.
To assist journalists covering the show, the Michelin Media Center will move from the third level of Cobo Center to Michigan Hall (river level). And, to ease travel to Detroit for both media and manufacturer personnel, Delta Air Lines is offering a discount airfare program, along with travel assistance from Passageways Travel.

The multiple award-winning Nissan LEAF rewrote the record books this weekend. The Nissan LEAF has set a record as the fastest car over a measured mile (1.6km) in reverse.
Driven by professional stunt driver Terry Grant, the Nissan LEAF raced backwards up the famous Goodwood hillclimb course at the weekend’s Festival of Speed, covering the distance in 1m 37.02s at an average speed of 88.5km/h (55 mph).

In their ongoing effort to keep young children safe, the Window Covering Safety Council and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission have teamed up to remind parents and caregivers that October is National Window Covering Safety Month. This campaign focuses on raising awareness of the potential strangulation hazards that window cords can pose to young children and toddlers. Alstom and Virgin Trains have unveiled a new look for one of the fifty-two high-speed tilting Pendolino trains serving the West Coast Main Line.
The train, renamed “Alstom Pendolino” by Virgin Trains CEO Tony Collins during a ceremony at Euston station, London, now displays a specially designed Alstom branding alongside that of Virgin. This is in recognition of the successful partnership between the two companies, established in 1999, which underpins the delivery of a world class intercity service. The fleet, built and maintained by Alstom, is one of the most intensively used in the world, with 47 trains in service every day, covering over 16.5 million miles per year.

Year after year, there are many people who do not come out of the woods alive. And if they happen to make it out alive, they will have a story to tell. Some run, but not fast enough. Directed by Richard Stephenson, this film looks super low budget, super gritty, and super fun. You can call Stephenson grew up on slasher movies like the rest of us and is putting his love for the genre to work. While a little cheesy in spots, and a little too many day-time shots, based on the trailer below I\\\'d say this one is one to watch out for.
