BeautifulPeople.com, the dating community exclusively for good-looking people, has launched “REALLY?” a 90 second movie in response to a sustained assault on the site’s concept.
Since BeautifulPeople.com launched in 2002, the dating site which is founded on the principle that everyone wants to be with someone they are attracted to, has come under fire for being prejudiced, unfair, and even for misunderstanding human nature. In the words of renowned social psychologist Dr Cliff Arnall, former lecturer and researcher at Cardiff University, it has been “lambasted for telling the truth.”

Could migraine patients be doing more to get the most out of their medical visits? According to a new national survey released by the National Headache Foundation (NHF) and GlaxoSmithKline, the answer is yes. For the nearly 30 million migraine sufferers in the U.S., including six million treating with prescription medication, these survey results may have important implications.
The survey, conducted online in November 2010 by Harris Interactive, included 1,218 diagnosed migraine patients taking prescription medications for their migraine attacks as well as 533 physicians who treat between five and 10 migraine patients per week. Members of IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional association and engineers from across the globe are in a pivotal role to deliver societal solutions – that make a difference; that benefit humanity. They are representative of tomorrow's Solutionist: identifying problems and solving them with technical innovations and solutions that matter.
To open the dialogue on engineering’s role in bringing about innovation for a better tomorrow, IEEE created a new microsite, IEEE Solutionists (http://solutionists.ieee.org) – featuring global thought leader perspectives in engineering and technology. This site hosts a series of articles from IEEE Fellows, including Mr. Norm Augustine, Dr. Sophie Vandebroek, Dr. Vinton G. Cerf, and Dr. John Cioffi, where they offer insight on how engineers can drive technical innovation; evolve perceptions of engineers globally; show how education impacts engineering; and why it’s important for engineers to follow their dreams to change the world, among other topics.
