This summer HGTV reveals a new opportunity for an undiscovered design virtuoso to win his or her own show on the network in HGTV Star, a new twist on HGTV’s classic design competition, Design Star. Premiering on Sunday, June 9, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, the seven-episode series features 10 creative finalists who must tackle unexpected design challenges assigned by host and mentor David Bromstad and impress the panel of design experts, including network stars Genevieve Gorder, Vern Yip and series newcomer Sabrina Soto. The 11th conference of the Eurasian Media Forum (EAMF) will take place in Astana on 25 and 26 April 2013.
This will be the Forum’s second meeting in the capital of Kazakhstan. It moved here for the first time last October, after a decade of annual conferences in Almaty, the country’s commercial hub.

Shell and the City of Dawson Creek today celebrate the opening of the Dawson Creek Reclaimed Water Project. The facility, process and associated infrastructure, will virtually eliminate Shell’s need to draw on local fresh water sources for the operation of its Groundbirch natural gas venture in Northeast British Columbia. The multi-million dollar facility will provide a new source of revenue for the City of Dawson Creek as well as additional water for industrial and municipal uses.
The City of Dawson Creek, some 1,191 kilometres northeast of Vancouver, is the centre of British Columbia’s natural gas and oil producing fields. The new treatment facility will help meet the water needs of all users including the people and municipality of the City of Dawson Creek.
