In 30 days, wounded warriors collectively cycled almost 3,300 miles for Soldier Ride Across America, a cross-country adaptive cycling ride to raise awareness for veteran issues. The journey commemorated the 15-year anniversary of Long Island native and veteran supporter Chris Carney's historic coast-to-coast cycling venture in support of wounded warriors, which spurred the creation of the Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) Soldier Ride® program.
“The goal of Soldier Ride Across America was really to bring warriors together and connect warriors to the communities,” said James Herrera, WWP Physical Health & Wellness director and Soldier Ride Across America organizer. “Really it's just about creating a brotherhood or sisterhood. They shared a common goal that was an incredibly challenging distance that they rode, but really the bond that I saw develop over a shared challenge, and even a shared hardship, was something you just can’t replace.”

Tyrelle Davis and Faith Fennidy, both 11-years old, made headlines when they were sent home from school because of their hair extensions. Eleven-year-old Jorja Orrick was bullied for having short hair, which prompted her sister Sarah to cut her own locks in solidarity. With real stories like these and a history of helping young girls build self-esteem, Dove was inspired to join forces with Kelly Rowland to write and produce an original song titled, “Crown” — a power anthem that aims to break down the narrow definition of beautiful hair and encourage girls to feel confident in wearing it how they choose. A Cigna Foundation grant to Achilles International will help determine whether running holds the key to better mental and physical development for children with autism. The Cigna Foundation today announced its $100,000 World of Difference grant to Achilles International, which has extensive anecdotal evidence showing that walking and running help people on the autism spectrum improve their emotional and physical health.

Among the ways Black Lotus Labs does this is by tracking and disrupting botnets like Necurs, a prolific and globally dispersed spam and malware distribution botnet which has recently demonstrated a hiding technique to both avoid detection and quietly amass more bots.

Farmers in Ivory Coast struggle with a mango harvest season that is as short as the fruit is sweet.
“For a 4-6 week period in April and May, the country is flooded with good mangos, but it ends abruptly when the rainy season starts. From then on, the mango just starts decaying,” explains Mathew Shed, container manager in the specialist shipping company Africa Express Line (AEL).
“We were approached in April by Eolis, a CF logistics company, who asked for some kind of smart solution that would keep the fruit delicious and marketable for a longer time,” he adds.
The solution turned out to be special reefer containers. With quick help from a container leasing company and a container depot in Antwerp, Belgium, Star Cool containers were upgraded to work with controlled atmosphere, in short known as CA, and sent to Ivory Coast.
