United Way and the Ad Council, in collaboration with the National Football League, have announced an extension of their successful LIVE UNITED campaign, including a new series of public service ads (PSAs) featuring NFL players promoting health and wellness, and ads showcasing the true outcome of United Way’s work in local communities. The new campaign also includes an online interactive map that illustrates local impact stories from United Ways around the country.

Sandaire, an international family investment office with a base in Singapore and Delancey, a UK focused real estate advisory company, today launch Mount Kendal in Asia. For the second straight year, Accenture (NYSE: ACN) is collaborating with Code.org to support Hour of Code, a global educational movement that reaches tens of millions of students through a one-hour introduction to computer science and computer programming.
As part of Accenture’s commitment to inspire and expand the opportunities for students to learn coding and computer science skills, Accenture employees in more than 200 cities across 55 countries have pledged to complete more than 10,000 Hours of Code during Computer Science Education Week December 5-11. This includes more than 2,000 hours pledged by Accenture employees to lead local events or volunteer at schools in their communities by working with teachers and Code.org to help students learn the basics of coding through online tutorials that inspire students to continue learning.

Walden University Scholars of Change focus on the future, whether they are transforming the way children learn, mentoring, or improving living conditions for others. T. Rowe Price’s 2015 Parents, Kids & Money Survey revealed that parents are letting their kids, who are 8-14 years old, learn about money the hard way, but may not be having the appropriate financial conversations to help guide their decisions. Additionally, the survey found that a growing number of parents think that it is appropriate for schools to teach financial education, and three-quarters of parents think there should be a personal finance requirement to graduate high school.

The American Cancer Society and the CVS Health Foundation today awarded grants to 20 U.S. colleges and universities as part of their Tobacco-Free Generation Campus Initiative (TFGCI), a $3.6 million multi-year program intended to accelerate and expand the adoption and implementation of 100 percent smoke- and tobacco-free campus policies. The announcement coincides this week with the American Cancer Society Great American Smokeout.
The Tobacco-Free Generation Campus Initiative is part of Be The First, CVS Health's five-year, $50 million initiative that supports education, advocacy, tobacco control, and healthy behavior programming to help deliver the nation’s first tobacco-free generation. CVS Health has set actionable and measurable goals for Be The First, including a doubling of the number of tobacco-free college and university campuses in the United States.

T. Rowe Price's new Family Financial Trade-offs Survey revealed that parents are putting their own retirement security on the back-burner to support their kids' education and cover their own personal student loans.
After T. Rowe Price's 2014 Parents, Kids & Money Survey found that 52% of parents said it was more important to save for their kids' college rather than their own retirement, the firm endeavored to further understand how families balance the competing priorities of saving for retirement and college. The survey is based on a national sample of 2,000 parents who have a retirement account with kids ages 15 and younger.
