Last night (Wednesday, Dec. 6), the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) debuted the first and only destination virtual reality art program, Vegas: Alter Your Reality (VAYR). The event took place at Wynwood’s Zadok Gallery during Miami Art Week with The Venetian Las Vegas. Powered by Samsung Gear VR, the VAYR installation will be free and open to the public, Dec. 7 - 9 from 1 - 9 p.m. daily.
“Capturing Las Vegas in photos and videos never tells the whole story, which is why we created the first-ever destination VR art program,” said Cathy Tull, senior vice president of marketing at the LVCVA. “By debuting at Miami Art Week, we are able to showcase creative technology to remind visitors of the adventures and experiences that await them in Las Vegas.”
An innovative marketing concept that unites virtual reality and technology with art and travel, VAYR showcases Las Vegas in a unique and artistic way by featuring the work of five international artists including: Adhemas Batista, Brazil; Beeple, U.S.; FAFI, France; INSA, U.K.; and Signalnoise, Canada.

Last Tuesday night, Laetitia Casta and La Maison Cointreau announced the launch of the Cointreau Creative Crew in the Pompadour Ballroom at the Hotel Café Royal in London. A worldwide philanthropist programme curated by Creative Director Laetitia Casta, the Cointreau Creative Crew aims to develop women’s freedom and encourage them to make their dreams a reality. Launching for the first time in the UK, this programme will culminate in one entrepreneur being awarded a £20,000 bursary to support their creative project which will be announced in Spring 2016.
Decorated with Cointreau elegantly dressed in soft furnishings and floral arrangements, the Pompadour Ballroom played host to 150 guests on the night. KÀ by Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas made its first appearance at Comic-Con on opening night, Thursday, July 21st, with a dramatic showdown on the outside walls of PETCO Park in San Diego. The outdoor performance took place directly across the street from the San Diego Convention Center and included a display of dazzling 3-D projections. Created especially for Comic-Con, the performance tells the adventurous tale of KÀ by turning the stadium façade into an interactive performance space featuring 3-D projections and live acrobatics.
