Presented here is the new EM Super-Jet Printing press, a two color printing press for envelopes with 6” cylinders and a multi purpose envelope feeder.
Vertex’s responsibility was the design and engineering of all plastic and sheet metal parts, as well as, exterior covers design and engineering driven by ergonomics and user interface with the press.
As part of the EM series Vertex Product Development Inc. was also responsible for the Jet EM printing press which is a two color printing press for envelopes with 3” cylinders and a Dual-Feeder option. The objectives in this effort was to use as many common parts as possible with the EM Super-Jet press to lower stock and minimize part numbers in the BOM (Bill of Material), as well as, to add new product to the EM press family.
PLapp, an iPad app for users to assemble virtual plastic model kits with the sense of reality. It provides a simple interface for assembling and coloring 3D models.
On describing PLapp, it provides various types of materials, which is available with the color configuration panel. You can simply select the model you want, detach the parts and assemble them. Choose and apply your favourite colors for the model. You can also share the model with your friends on twitter and facebook.
Smith & Nephew plc (LSE: SN, NYSE: SNN), the global medical technology business, announces the FDA clearance of the pocket-sized PICO◊ system, a single use Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) system. PICO is cleared for use both in a hospital and homecare setting and expands the use of NPWT from the traditional wound care population to include a wider range of patients undergoing orthopaedic surgery, plastic surgery and general surgical procedures. This FDA clearance follows the recent successful launch of PICO in Europe, Canada, and Australia.
