With the critical success and recognition of I Am Shelby Lynne, she was awarded the Best New Artist GRAMMY® in 2000 – after nearly 13 years in the business. Love, Shelby was released in 2001, followed by a pair of intimate, self-produced albums – Identity Crisis (2003) and Suit Yourself (2005). She made her acting debut in 2005, playing Johnny Cash's mother in the Fox Searchlight motion picture Walk the Line. A Top 10 hit at Americana radio, it was hailed by Newsday as “her strongest album in a decade,” a sentiment echoed by numerous critics. She followed Tears, Lies, And Alibis with her first-ever holiday collection, Merry Christmas, released in the fall of 2010. Revelation Road – Shelby’s most personal record yet – will be released on October 18, 2011. She wrote, recorded and produced the album, which leads off with the title track and first single, “Revelation Road,” a stirring reflection on reckoning and redemption. Lynne will be touring North American this fall.

As I'm approaching the time of certain eviction, I've been proving to myself what a little pressure can do to get the creative juices flowing and I am somewhat amazed by how quickly I have been creating and organizing enough videos that would have normally stretched out the span of this year and probably throughout 2014, all inside the time frame of a month. Particularly in the case of this song which is one of several songs that I have been working on that are somewhat more complex and exhibit my full potential as a musician. This song would have normally taken me a full year to compose and like some of my other prouder creations, I figured that there just was no time left for me to complete this kind of composition. Although admittedly I did rough it as I wrapped up the song in a day and took about one hour on the video but I think that with this one, I have successfully achieved my goal. I can always redo this at a later time when I get resettled and back in the groove.

Auch wenn es diesmal bei uns nur einen milden Winter gab, einige Tonnen Streusalz und Splitt mussten dann doch auf die Straßen gestreut werden und haben ihre unerwünschten Spuren bis in die entlegensten Winkel an den Autos hinterlassen. Jetzt, wo auch die Blumen ihre Knospen aus der Erde recken, ist die richtige Zeit, sein Auto checken zu lassen. Eine gründliche Reinigung und Durchsicht in der Fachwerkstatt schaffen Sicherheit, denn die Spezialisten wissen am besten, was das Fahrzeug wieder frühlingsfit macht. Da außerdem bei verlässlichen Außentemperaturen über sieben Grad wieder die Sommerreifenzeit anbricht, können bei dieser Gelegenheit auch gleich die Winterräder demontiert werden. Eine gute Möglichkeit hierzu bieten die Marken-Werkstätten, die auch gleich Reifenprofil, Laufbild, Luftdruck und eventuelle Unwuchten kontrollieren. Verfügen die Sommerräder nicht mehr über die Mindestprofiltiefe, halten die Experten ein umfangreiches Angebot an passenden Reifen bereit. Wer möchte, kann aus einem großen Sortiment passender Kompletträder auch ein neues Design oder breiteres Format für sein Modell auswählen. Denn schließlich beginnt im Frühjahr auch die neue Modesaison. Besonders praktisch ist, dass die Winterpneus gleich in der Werkstatt eingelagert werden und so weder im eigenen Keller noch in der Garage Platz wegnehmen. Schließlich sollen dort besser die Fahrräder einsatzbereit stehen.
