SCAD’s second annual deFINE ART, which ran Feb. 22 - 26, attracted thousands of visitors. deFINE ART featured lectures by prominent figures in the art world, special exhibitions, commissions, student showcases, performances and other events, all of which were free and open to the public.
As one of the highlights of this year’s programming, deFINE ART honored performance artist Marina Abramović for her groundbreaking work and influence on contemporary art. Her keynote lecture was given at SCAD’s locations in both Savannah and Atlanta. Abramović’s solo exhibition remains on view through April 3 at the university's Pinnacle Gallery in Savannah, featuring three videos and an iconic photographic series.

The Art Institutes, Superfly Presents and A.C. Entertainment are excited to announce that The Art Institutes schools and the 2011 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival have formed a creative partnership. A first-of-its-kind partnership, students from Art Institutes schools will contribute creative services to North America’s largest music festival in a project dubbed “Student Studio: Bonnaroo.”
Central to the creative partnership as a part of “Student Studio: Bonnaroo,” Art Institutes students will embark on a series of 15 festival projects ranging from creating merchandise design, to shade structure design concepts and creation of a sustainable fashion line. This martial arts style was founded by Sensei Titus Mathijn Jansen a Koga Ryu Ninja and master in the art of Koga Ryu Ninjutsu. Sensei Titus Jansen is also very famous because of his martial arts background and his experience. He runs a bigg martial arts school in the Netherlands under the name Kage Ryu Dojo.
