Miami Children's Health Foundation (MCH Foundation) celebrated its 10th Anniversary Diamond Ball on Oct. 29, raising nearly $1.6 million, benefiting the children and families at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. More than 800 guests took part in the glamourous affair, which combined couture fashion and costumes inspired by the theme “Into the Woods.”
This year, world-renowned guitarist, singer, and composer José Feliciano was inducted into the Ambassador David M. Walters International Pediatric Hall of Fame. After receiving his award, Mr. Feliciano also entertained the crowd with a live performance. Mr. Feliciano was recognized for his commitment to helping children through the Jose M. and Susan L. Feliciano Charitable Foundation for Children and the Arts and for his achievements in the world of music as the first Latin artist to cross over into the English music market.

Today, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (BIPI) announced the launch of ‘Cuida tu Don,’ a national public awareness initiative featuring legendary entertainer Mario Kreutzberger, better known as ‘Don Francisco.’ Kreutzberger, who has type 2 diabetes, will serve as an ambassador for the initiative and encourage Hispanics with type 2 diabetes to live a lifestyle conducive to staying healthy. ‘Cuida tu Don,’ translated as ‘Take Care of Your Gift,’ is designed to engage, educate and inspire Hispanics with type 2 diabetes and their families. The initiative provides resources and information in three key aspects of diabetes – nutrition, fitness and treatment options – to the estimated 3.2 million Hispanics in the United States with the disease.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) announced that Ryo Ishikawa, a young Japanese player who is a rising star in world golf, has accepted its invitation to be the Golf Ambassador of Thailand for the 2nd year. Mr. Ishikawa, known as the “Bashful Prince,” will help promote Thailand as a tourist destination with a focus on promoting golf tourism to Japanese visitors.
GAC Motor has officially kicked off a wetland ambassador program (“the Program”) in Sanjiangyuan National Nature Reserve (SNNR), the newest program to come from the three-year eco-conservation partnership among GAC Motor, SNNR and World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
The Program aims to perform wildlife surveys, educational tours, help local NGOs and visit communities to encourage more people to support eco-conservation and sustainable development.

A volunteer team from GAC Motor’s wetland ambassador program (“the Program”) has successfully concluded the July tour to Sanjiangyuan National Nature Reserve (SNNR), where they travelled to the Donggi Conag Lake to conduct biodiversity survey with ecologists from World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
In the three-day field survey, the team joined by media representatives documented the distribution and number of plateau wildlife species such as goa, bharal and yellow-billed teal and observed the plantation, hydrography, atmosphere and sunlight. The data will be used to evaluate habitat conditions and threat levels to help make future conservation plans.
