The transition to a “Green Economy” has been a main priority of Kazakhstan the past several years. In 2012, our capital Astana, won its bid to host EXPO2017 with ‘Future Energy’ as the theme. This subsequently led to the adoption of “green” development.
From 18 to 22 January 2014, Kazakhstan participated in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in the capital of the UAE. According to Talgat Yermegiyayev, the Chairman of the Astana EXPO-2017’s National Company JSC, the summit provides the ideal platform for cooperation with key partners in future energy sector projects.

Cycle for Survival, the nationwide movement to beat rare cancers, brought hundreds of supporters to Times Square on Friday for its second annual Times Square Takeover, an all-day celebration featuring high-energy stationary cycling sessions.
The day kicked off Cycle for Survival’s ninth year and the launch of registration for its 2015 events across the country.

The series, “Musica y Destinos con Toyota,” kicked-off on Friday, July 31 with Becky G (@iambeckyg) sharing her musical experience at Lollapalooza at Grant Park in Chicago. The iconic festival featured a diverse range of musical acts, including Paul McCartney, Sam Smith and Metallica.
During the three-day event, Becky G met with Gogol Bordello, a Gypsy-punk band known for their authentic energy and theatrical stage shows. Sinar Mas Cepsa inaugurated today its first oleochemicals plant in Indonesia, which represents an investment of EUR 300 million made over two years. The plant will produce fatty alcohols from sustainably-sourced palm kernel oil, a key ingredient in the manufacture of everyday products such as household cleaning goods and personal care products.
