The 6th forum has become a record-breaking one by every measure by gathering 18,200 participants from 98 countries. During three thematic day-long sessions on business, government and society, presentations of more than 650 speakers took place.
Within the framework of the forum business program and in the press center 42 agreements were signed, including 24 partnership agreements with the Skolkovo Foundation. Notably some agreements deal with billion ruble infrastructural projects, such as, e.g. deploying the 5G network in Skolkovo, while other ones suggest direct investments of hundred million rubles, such as the agreement between VEB and IIDF amounting to 200 million dollars or the agreement between IBS company and “Skolkovo Venture – IT I” amounting to 100 million rubles.

Taking center stage at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show are more than 20 vehicles that made their world debut during the Media Preview including the Kia Niro, Ram Power Wagon, Nissan Armada, Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro, Chevrolet Trax, Hyundai Santa Fe and Infiniti Q50 among others. More than a dozen concept cars are also on parade, including the Acura Precision, Buick Avista, Genesis Vision G, Kia Telluride and Nissan Murano Winter Warrior.
This year marks the 108th edition of the Chicago Auto Show. First staged in 1901, the Chicago Auto Show is the largest auto show in North America and has been held more times than any other auto exposition on the continent. The show runs from Feb. 13-21 and opens at 9 a.m. each day. There are nearly 1,000 different vehicles on display throughout the more than 1 million sq. ft. of McCormick Place.

Seattle – The EMP Museum board of directors announced today that EMP is now the Museum of Pop Culture – MoPOP. The name MoPOP better reflects the museum’s vision for curating, exploring, and supporting creative works that shape and inspire our lives across many aspects of our culture. The museum will launch the new name on November 19, 2016 with a celebration that is free and open to the public.
“MoPOP reflects who we are today and the future of the museum,” said Patty Isacson Sabee, CEO and director of MoPOP. “Pop culture is a platform that resonates with audiences in a powerful way. And at MoPOP we provide avenues through our exhibits and programs for people to explore, learn, create, and celebrate pop culture in all of its diversity.” Founded by Paul G. Allen and opened in 2000, the non-profit museum has organized more than 57 exhibitions, 20 of which have traveled in the U.S. and internationally. The Frank O. Gehry-designed building hosts more than 100 arts and cultural events annually.

Als 1988 Audi den ersten A8 vorstellte überwogen die Stimmen der Skeptiker – das kann doch gar kein Erfolg werden. Als die Ingolstädter 1994 mit der zweiten Generation erstmals in der Großserie die selbsttragende Aluminiumkarosserie einführten, mokierte sich teilweise der Wettbewerb – das ginge gar nicht, das sei viel zu teuer und nach Unfällen würden die Reparaturkosten immens sein. Nun man irrte sich. Nach anfänglichen Akzeptanz-Schwierigkeiten mauserte sich das Audi-Flaggschiff zum Erfolgsmodell. Die jetzt gründlich überarbeitete vierte Generation, die im November beim Händler steht, soll dies möglichst noch toppen. Der Einstiegspreis beträgt 75.400 Euro. Mit 5,14 Meter Länge, 2,99 Meter Radstand, 1,95 Meter Breite und 1,46 Meter Höhe ist der A8 in seinen Abmessungen gleich geblieben; beim A8 L kommen in Radstand und Länge je 13 Zentimeter dazu. Beibehalten wurde natürlich auch der Leichtbau. Die Karosserie besteht nahezu komplett aus Aluminium und wiegt – in der Audi Space Frame-Bauweise konzipiert – lediglich 231 Kilo und auch das Gesamtgewicht des A8 3.0 TFSI stellt mit 1.830 Kilo einen Bestwert unter den Wettbewerbern mit Allradantrieb dar. Darüber hinaus gibt es noch zahlreiche optionale Assistenzsysteme, die das Fahren im A8 noch souveräner machen. Die adaptive cruise control mit Stop&Go-Funktion ist mit einer Ausbaustufe des serienmäßigen Sicherheitssystems Audi pre sense basic gekoppelt, das Gleiche gilt für den Audi side assist. Neu im A8 sind der Audi active lane assist, der die Lenkungsrichtung gegebenenfalls leicht korrigiert, und der Parkassistent mit Umgebungsanzeige, der die Lenkarbeit beim Parken übernimmt. Das ebenfalls neue Head-up-Display projiziert wichtige Informationen im Sichtbereich des Fahrers auf die Windschutzscheibe und der Nachtsichtassistent kann neben Fußgängern jetzt auch größere Wildtiere erkennen.Da bleiben also kaum noch Wünsche offen – allerdings bewegt man sich dann in Preis-Regionen von weit über 100.000 Euro. Muss man ja nicht alles haben. Für die Ingolstädter ist ein derartiges Angebot aber wichtig, um die Ansprüche betuchter Käufer zum Beispiel im Nahen Osten oder in China erfüllen zu können.

Der Audi RS Q3 ist das erste RS-Modell in der erfolgreichen Q-Familie von Audi - es vereint hohe Alltagstauglichkeit mit dynamischen Fahrleistungen. Der Standardsprint von 0 auf 100 km/h dauert 5,2 Sekunden, die Höchstgeschwindigkeit wird bei 250 km/h elektronisch abgeregelt. Der bärenstarke 2,5-Liter-Fünfzylinder-Turbo verbraucht im Durchschnitt nur 8,8 Liter Kraftstoff pro 100 Kilometer (206 Gramm CO2 pro Kilometer. Sein Basispreis: 54.600 Euro. In jedem Detail des RS Q3 überzeugt die sportliche RS-Philosophie, die damit eine neue Klasse im SUV-Segment begründet. Mit dem 2.5 TFSI arbeitet ein mehrfach preisgekrönter Hochleistungsmotor unter der Haube des RS Q3. Der turboaufgeladene Direkteinspritzer schöpft aus 2.480 ccm Hubraum eine Höchstleistung von 228 kW 310 PS und liefert 420 Newtonmeter Drehmoment, das zwischen 1.500 und 5.200 Umdrehungen pro Minute anliegt. Mit diesen Werten ist der RS Q3 in seinem Umfeld ohne Konkurrenz. Der Audi RS Q3 beschleunigt laut Audi-Angaben in 5,2 Sekunden aus dem Stand auf 100 km/h, die Höchstgeschwindigkeit wird bei 250 km/h elektronisch abgeregelt. Wichtiger ist aber das Fahrgefühl, dass der RS Q3 bei ersten Testfahrten vermittelte. Und das war bei ersten Testfahrten innerhalb der Audi Alpen Tour einfach nur beeindruckend - egal ob nun auf kurviger Landstraße, Autobahn oder Passstraße. Egal, ob im Cruiser Tempo oder bei sehr flottem Fortkommen, was man übrigens wirklich nicht an der Tankstelle bereuen muss. Der Normverbrauch ist zwar wie üblich, Theorie, doch Effizienz-Technologien wie ein serienmäßiges Start-Stop-System und eine geregelte Ölpumpe tragen dazu bei, dass man auf jeden Fall unter zehn Liter auf 100 Kilometer bleiben sollte. Effektiv -das serienmäßige Fahrdynamiksystem Audi drive select, das drei wirklich unterschiedliche Betriebsmodi bietet. Als Kraftübertragung dient eine kompakte Siebengang S tronic. Der Fahrer kann das Doppelkupplungsgetriebe in den Programmen D und S automatisiert arbeiten lassen oder die Gänge selbst wechseln - mit den Wippen am Lenkrad oder mit dem RS-spezifischen Wählhebel. Die hydraulisch betätigte und elektronisch geregelte Lamellenkupplung bildet das Herzstück des permanenten Allradantriebs quattro. Im regulären Fahrbetrieb leitet sie die Antriebsmomente zum größten Teil an die vordere Achse, bei Bedarf kann sie sie blitzschnell teilweise oder ganz nach hinten schicken.

Bugün, ülkemizde, hadisleri baz alarak Adem'in dinozorlarla aynı dönemde yaşadığını ve 30 m. uzunlukta olduğunu söyleyen biyoloji profesörlerimiz varken, dünyanın düz olduğunu söyleyen uzmanlar hiçbir müslümanı da şaşırtmamalı. ("Kuran'da Dünya'nın düz olarak geçtiğini söyleyenlere itirazınız var da, evrim yalandır diyenlere niye yok?" diye bir soru yönlendirilebilir kendilerine.)
Şüphesiz buna inananlar sadece müslümanlar değil. 1956 yılında Britanya'da, Flat Earth Society (Düz Dünya Cemiyeti) adıyla, Dünya'nın düz olduğunu savunan ve bugün hala aktif olan bir organizasyon bile kuruldu. Bilim karşıtlığı hiçbir zaman popülaritesini yitirmiyor.
