Olive Oils from Spain, the promotional brand of the Spanish Olive Oil Interprofessional, in collaboration with the European Union, and guest of honor, Seamus Mullen, celebrity chef and wellness expert, kicked off their Miami launch of “The Olive Oil World Tour” at the Delano South Beach on Wednesday, October 3rd. The Olive Oil World Tour is the brand’s three-year marketing campaign urging international travelers and cooking enthusiasts to join the Mediterranean diet and European healthy lifestyle. At the invitation-only soiree, Olive Oils from Spain joined Seamus, Spanish dignitaries and local media to unveil launch details.
“Given the city’s rich cultural diversity and the exciting position it holds as one of the nation's finest culinary headquarters, it was only natural that our next campaign stop would be Miami,” says Teresa Perez, manager of the Interprofessional of Spanish Olive Oil. “In the first half of 2018, Florida has welcomed over 65 million tourists from across the globe. Here in Miami, we are achieving a global impact that extends far beyond the city and the United States. We must not forget that we Spaniards have a very special bond with this wonderful place. "

of the greatest things about my job is the people I get to meet. Before
we even launched Journey Instruments, I saw Maneli Jamal’s “Movement
III” from his Ziur album on Youtube and I was totally floored. I
immediately bought his album and then sought him out for private
lessons on Skype (And learned a bastardized version of his ”Most
Glorious Day” song from the same album. Ha!). Though I had to quit
lessons due to the demands of running two companies and having my
second child, I kept in touch and have just loved watching him perform
and grow as an artist. Here we are 3 years later, and I’m humbled to
have Maneli make such an awesome demo video of our Overhead OF420

Orbis, the international nonprofit that unites the world in the fight against blindness, is proud to land its new, state-of-the-art Flying Eye Hospital in Shenyang, China this week to commence its first training program, running from September 5 - 23. Six years in the making, the third-generation Flying Eye Hospital is the world’s only mobile ophthalmic teaching hospital on board an MD-10 aircraft, donated by FedEx. Hundreds of experts have come together to combine the latest in avionics, hospital engineering, technology and clinical expertise to make the new Flying Eye Hospital a reality. It features modular design, 3D technology and live broadcast capabilities, which enables Orbis and their expert Volunteer Faculty to train more doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals—ultimately treating more people and restoring their sight.
“Today, I am incredibly proud that our Flying Eye Hospital can get to work on its first program,” Bob Ranck, Orbis CEO and President, said. “It is a testament to the hundreds of volunteers, global corporate partners, governments and other individuals who have worked tirelessly to make this unique aircraft a reality, and we thank them one and all. Our mission at Orbis is to bring the world together to fight blindness, and the Flying Eye Hospital is an important tool for achieving this.
