The sound of mazurkas and polonaises is known worldwide; Fryderyk Chopin was a musical genius who continues to inspire artists and mesmerize music lovers. The Polish Development Fund (PFR) will hold the CEE Innovators Summit on 28 March 2017. Other special guests include Professor Mariana Mazzucato, the author of The Entrepreneurial State, along with other innovators and entrepreneurs. Startups, innovative NGOs in the V4, heads of company R&D departments, and representatives of public administration from the region are invited to attend the two-day meeting in Warsaw.

IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX; TSX:IMX) and Paramount Pictures today announced that Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol The IMAX Experience will begin previews in IMAX on Friday, Dec. 16, five days in advance of the film’s North American wide release on Dec. 21. Domestically, the film will open in approximately 300 IMAX® theatres and play through the film’s run at the box office.
Internationally, the film will open on approximately 200 IMAX screens beginning on Dec. 14, with several markets receiving an early window release in IMAX ahead of their wide release, including six days in the Netherlands, five days in the UK, three days in France and Poland, two days in Korea, Spain and Taiwan, and one day in various other countries worldwide.

This year Krakow will host the UNESCO World Heritage Committee session, the European Lotteries Congress and the European Congress of Transplantology Nurses. Adding prestige to Krakow are industry awards, with no other venue receiving the Meetings Star Award two years running. This year’s event schedule will determine the fortunes of Krakow in years to come.
According to a Polish Tourism Organisation study, Krakow is the #1 location in Poland in terms of the number of congresses and conferences. At the heart of the meetings industry is the ICE Kraków Congress Centre, which has just won its second consecutive title of best congress centre of New Europe.

In the afternoon of Wednesday 21 March, Mrs Anna Komorowska, First Lady of Poland, will open the Keukenhof International Flower Exhibition in Lisse accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of The Netherlands.
In the period from 22 March to 20 May 2012, a colourful tribute will be paid to Poland, an important export market for flowering bulbs. Poland-Heart of Europe is the theme for Keukenhof 2012. Highlights this year are the exhibition Surprising Poland, the flowering bulb mosaic of Frederic Chopin and a special theme route.

Forget CVs, Grant’s is looking to test the mettle of their candidates on location at some of the world’s most exciting cities, armed with a suitcase of Grant’s whisky.
Applications are now open for the interview of a lifetime – a 10-day world tour - launched by Grant’s Whisky as part of its search for a new Global Brand Ambassador for 2018. In a job interview like no other, three final candidates will each travel to a trio of countries, ranging from Colombia to Poland, India and South Africa equipped with a suitcase full of Grant’s to share with the friends they’re yet to meet.
Their journey will echo the legendary trip taken in 1909 by Charles Grant Gordon, the son in law of the founder of Grant’s Whisky, William Grant. Charles set sail with a suitcase of Grant’s and an ambition to introduce it to the world. 110 years later, Grant’s chosen Global Brand Ambassador will follow in his footsteps throughout 2018.

Energy efficiency is at the heart of Europe’s growth and transition to a resource efficient economy. The European Union aims to save 20% of its primary energy consumption by 2020 (compared to what has been forecast). Everyone’s contribution is crucial in meeting this goal. By better insulating buildings we can reduce energy consumption by 28% by 2020. By choosing modern energy-efficient refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers etc. we can use significantly less energy than with older appliances. By buying lighter vehicles or using low fuel consumption tyres we can double the fuel efficiency of an average car.
