Das sind noch einmal 6,1 Milliarden mehr als im Vorjahr und damit das beste Ergebnis in der Unternehmensgeschichte.Trotz der allgegenwärtigen Krisenstimmung konnte der VW-Konzern zum Teil erhebliche Marktanteile hinzugewinnen. In China waren es noch einmal 25 Prozent, in den USA 34 Prozent und in Russland sogar 41 Prozent Zuwachs.Trotz aller Hindernisse ist Volkswagen weiterhin im Plan, um, wie geplant, 2018 an die Weltspitze zu gelangen. Nach eigenem Bekunden wollen die Wolfsburger aber nicht nur in Sachen Zulassungen und Umsatz weltweit die Nummer eins werden. Der VW-Konzern will bis zum Jahr 2018 als der stärkste, fairste und ökologischste Autobauer gelten.
Sogenannte Concept Cars sind auf allen Automessen der Hingucker. Sie sollen zeigen, was die Autobauer für die Mobilität der Zukunft entwickeln. Oft wird aus dem Blick in die Zukunft aber auch nichts. Die Studien wären für eine Serienproduktion dann doch zu teuer gewesen, oder zu praxisfern, oder es wäre einfach nicht mehr die Akzeptanz bei den Käufern vorhanden. Dann wandern die Konzepte nach ihrem glorreichen Messeauftritten still und leise ins Museum oder die Schrottpresse. VW hat mit einem ambitionierten Projekt bewiesen, dass es auch anders geht. Das 1-Liter-Auto erschien zu Beginn vielen Skeptikern noch als reine Utopie. Als VW in Doha den Prototyp des XL1 durch die Straßen fahren ließ, war aber klar, dass es sich nicht nur ein imageträchtiges Marketingprojekt handelt. Spätestens als in Genf die Kleinserie des XL1 ins Scheinwerferlicht rollte, mussten Zweifler erkennen, dass VW es ernst meint.
SEAT hat nicht nur einen neuen Toledo, sondern auch einen neuen Slogan „Enjoyneering“. Die neue Kompaktklassen-Limousine soll bei Autokäufern für die Entwicklung von Freude sorgen, die ein günstiges und praktisches Auto suchen. Das beginnt schon beim Platzangebot. Obwohl der Toledo wie eine Stufenheck-Limousine wirkt, hat er keine herkömmliche Kofferraum-Klappe. Diese ist wie bei einem Fließheck über der Heckscheibe am Dach angeschlagen und gibt so eine große Öffnung ins Ladeabteil frei. 550 Liter lassen sich so bequem verstauen. Doch nicht nur beim Laderaum kann der neue Toledo überzeugen. Viel Platz im Innenraum bietet er dank 2,60 Meter Radstand auch auf der Rücksitzbank. Weil der Innenraum recht hoch ausgefallen ist, fühlen sich auch Mitfahrer über 1,80 Meter kommod untergebracht. Die Benzinmotoren-Palette reicht von 75 bis 122 PS, dazu gesellt sich ein Diesel, der 105 PS leistet.

The Call of Duty Endowment’s announcement comes on the heels of new veterans’ unemployment numbers released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), which found that the unemployment rate for the youngest veterans (aged 18-24) remained over 5 percent higher than for their nonveteran counterparts (20.4 percent and 15 percent, respectively). While the annual report demonstrates a positive trend nationally for the overall veteran unemployment rate, there is much work to be done, especially for our nation’s youngest veterans.
