In the real jungle, the world is still OK, at least this is the hope many conservationists have. Whether the shoe fashion jungle is intact and alive, buyers of all shoe retailers had the chance to examine at the trade fair GDS in Düsseldorf. Rumble in the Jungle, a trend motto in the halls, and this also seems to be the reality: business is rumbling and booming mightily.

The banana is transported by plane, eggs by refrigerated trucks and yogurt can be found in open fridges, so to speak – the bottom line: In order to maintain a certain standard in a supermarket you are forced to use a lot of energy. An increasing number of supermarket owners have recognized responsibility and have started saving energy. For example, the Swiss cooperative Coop has set itself the goal of having all of their supermarkets being carbon-neutral by the year 2023.

Many students leave the house without eating breakfast in the morning and at noon fast food restaurants and bakeries near schools enjoy the fact that they are becoming more and more popular. In times of increasing numbers of all-day schools it is time for things to change, more and more schools are convinced of this too. School cafeterias are the logical consequence. But the implementation is not so easy. French Fries and Hot dogs or greasy burgers definitely don’t help concentration in the classroom. Sluggish and tired students are the result.

With the help of a compassionate fitness club owner and a personal trainer, Susan managed to lose 75 pounds over several months. The club owner, Kitty Williams of Anytime Fitness in Loveland, celebrated Susan’s success by featuring her “before and after” photos in a local newspaper ad. Susan’s pride at being featured in the ad turned to horror, however, when Tonight Show host Jay Leno mocked Susan’s accomplishments during one of his weekly “Headlines” segments. Leno held up the advertisement in front of a camera and said, “Susan, all you did was change your shirt.” The studio audience burst out laughing and Leno repeated the taunt, “All she did was change her shirt.” To view Multimedia News Release, go to http://multivu.prnewswire.com/mnr/anytimefitness/45924/
