Yesterday, Country Music star Trace Adkins selected Dewey Longuski of Mason, Mich. as the Grand Prize winner of the Waggin’ Train® Tail Waggin’ Jingle Contest, which asked dog owners to create an original jingle with lyrics describing how they enjoy a “tail waggin’ good time” with their best buddies. Easter Seals this morning released a new report Our Nation’s Children at Risk: A State-by-State Report on Early Intervention during its 2011 International Convention currently being held in Washington, D.C. In meetings with Members of Congress on The Hill today, more than 300 Easter Seals volunteers, staff and families with disabilities will share both the report’s findings and a petition with nearly 40,000 signatures urging legislators to invest in young children.
The new report details how well each state takes care of its youngest children with disabilities and delays. The unfortunate news: infants and toddlers in nearly every state continue to fall behind, many will never catch up.

As Americans honor those who serve our country this Veterans Day, Colorado Technical University (CTU) is recognizing the sacrifices of 25 wounded active duty and veteran service members and 25 spouses of wounded service members with the gift of education.
CTU today announced the 50 recipients of the 2012 CTU Wounded Warrior Scholarship and Wounded Warrior Spouse Scholarship programs. The scholarships cover the full cost of tuition, course materials and fees, as well as a new laptop computer.
